Poor Calvin's

12월 16일-17일에 애틀랜타 다운타운 여행을 다녀왔다.

마지막까지 점심 먹을 곳을 정하기가 어려웠는데 

역시 Yelp 에서 인기가 많은 식당을 둘러보다가 Poor Calvin's 후기가 너무 좋아서 도전해보기로 결정했다.

We went on a trip to Atlanta Downtown December 16 through 17.

We couldn't decide where to have lunch till the last minute.

We finally decided to try Poor Calvin's since their reviews on Yelp were so good.

저번 애틀랜타 다운타운에 왔을 때 이용했던 주차장에 주차를 하고

Poor Calvin's 까지 걸어가보기로 했다.

We parked our car at the parking lot we used last time.

And we walked to Poor Calvin's.

아무래도 식당이 완전 다운타운에 있진 않아서 그런지

골목으로 걸어왔을 때 조금 무섭다고 느껴지기도 했다.

그래서 다들 차를 가지고 왔는데 우리도 다음 번 방문엔 차를 가지고 와야겠다.

When we walked there, the street was kind of sketchy.

We should drive here next time like everyone else did.

우리가 들어갔을 때 사람들이 너무 많아서 30분 정도 웨이팅이 있었다.

예약도 가능하다고 하니 여기 오려면 예약하기를 강추!

There were so many people in the restaurant when we got there.

We had to wait in there for about 30 minutes.

I recommend making a reservation !

바 자리에 앉게 되었는데 우리는 랍스터 볶음밥이랑 후라이드치킨 그리고 상그리아를 주문했다.

We got to sit at the bar table.

We ordered lobster fried rice, fried chicken and sangria.

너나 나나 할 것 없이 다들 상그리아를 먹고 있어서 우리도 충동적으로 주문했다.

스카일러가 최고의 상그리아라고 했다. ㅋㅋ

Skylar wanted the sangria because everyone was drinking it lol.

Skylar says it was the best sangria.

이게 스카일러가 주문한 후라이드 치킨.

튀긴 치킨이 메인,  맥앤치즈가 깔려있고 그린빈이 사이드로 나온다.

저 김같이 생긴 건 튀긴 케일이라는데 맛도 조미김이라서 깜짝 놀랐다.

This is Skylar's dish, Fried Chicken.

It comes with Mac & Cheese and green beans on the side.

The fried green toppings are fried kale !

It looked just like GIM (Seaweed) and tasted like salted gim! (It was really good)

이건 내가 주문한 랍스터 볶음밥.

랍스터 껍데기가 함께 데코레이션으로 나와서 보기에도 좋다.

튀긴 속살을 랍스터 바깥에 내어 놓아 먹기도 편했다.

This is my lobster fried rice.

The lobster shell was on the plate for decoration.

And the meat part was out of the shell so it was easy to eat it.

처음 맛을 보자마자 대박이라고 생각했다.

진짜 --- 맛있다 !

As soon as I tasted the food.

I said "Wow. "

It was really really good.

스카일러 음식도 맛있다고 우리 둘 다 맛과 비주얼에 놀랐다.

Skylar's food was just as good.

We both got surprised at the food's looks and the taste.

Poor Calvin's는 처음 바로 시작했다가 음식점으로 바꾼 건진 모르겠지만

식당이 무척 시끌시끌하고 사람들도 북적거려서 조용히 식사하는 고급 레스토랑을 기대하면 안된다.

그렇지만, 맛있는 퓨전음식을 힙스터 공간에서 먹는 경험도 아주 좋았다!

I'm not sure if they started as a bar and turned a restaurant,

This is not a quiet place savoring food.

It's more like a hipster bar for fusion food.

진짜 다시 한번 들러서 다른 메뉴 먹으러 올 생각이다.

완전 강추 애틀랜타 다운타운 음식점!

We are definitely going to come back and try more of their food.
