매년 2월 2일은 우리 부부의 결혼기념일인데 어느새 1주년이 다 되어 가까운 애틀랜타로 여행을 떠났다.

Our first anniversary was 2nd Feb. It had already been a year since we got married.

남편은 운전할 때 카페인 충전이 필수라서 본격적인 운전을 하기 전에 스타벅스에 들려 카페인을 채워줬다.

Skylar stopped by Starbucks to drink coffee. He needs caffeine before he drives for a long time.

저기 멀리 다운타운 애틀랜타가 보인다.

There is Atlanta Downtown in the horizon.

애틀랜타 다운타운에 오면 가장 걱정거리가 바로 주차다.

호텔에 묵어도 발레파킹비가 장난이 아니기 때문...!

우리는 Marriott Marquis 호텔 바로 앞에 있는 야외 공영주차장을 이용하기로 했다. (하루에 25불)

Our biggest concern about Downtown Atlanta trip was parking.

Because even if we used the valet parking, it would be too expensive for us.

So we decided to try the outside public parking in front of the hotel. (25$ a day)

체크인을 하고 배정받은 층은 39층!! 우리가 고층을 선호한다고 해서 높은 층에 배정받았는데 정말 만족스러웠다.

We checked in and got assigned to a room on the 39th floor. We were happy with staying on that high floor :)

바로 이 모습 때문에 애틀랜타 메리어트 마퀴스 호텔에 숙박하기로 결정했던 것!

실제로 보면 더 거대하고 마치 인간의 갈비뼈 안에 들어온 것처럼 보인다.

We decided to stay in this hotel because of its structure, 

It looked like we were in human ribs...!

We could look down on the downtown view from our room.

특이하게도 추가베드 대신에 소파가 있어서 카페같았고 5개의 간접조명이 있어서 편리했다.

The room had a sofa and five indirect lights.

암막커튼으로 다 가리면 아주 어두워지고 또 활짝열면 야경을 볼 수 있어서 좋았다.

The curtains were black-out curtains so when we closed them, the room was completely dark

and when we opened them we could see the fantastic view.

이거는 방에 있던 화장실인데 크기는 작은 편이었지만 아주 깔끔했다.

This is the bathroom. It was kind of small but very tidy and clean.

한가지 아쉬운 점은 욕조가 있는 방으로 요청했는데 샤워룸으로 주셨다. 그래도 깨끗하고 물도 잘 나왔다.

Only one downside of the room was that they didn't have a bathtub.

But the shower was clean and water pressure was fine.

저녁을 먹으러 하얏트 호텔 안에 있는 폴라리스 레스토랑을 예약해둔 상태여서

옷을 갈아입고 나갈 준비하는 중.

We made a reservation at Polaris which is a nice restaurant in Hyatt.

So I got changed.

다시 내려갔을 때 호텔 안에 엄청난 수의 학생들이 체크인을 기다리고 있는 중이었다...

그나마 다행인건 우리 방은 고층이어서 시끄럽지 않았다는 것!!

When we went down, there were a number of students waiting to be checked in.

Luckily our room was on such a high floor. It didn't affect us lol.
