저번 주말에 애틀랜타로 1박2일 여행을 다녀오는 바람에 푹 쉴 수 없었는데 마침 이번 수요일에 연방공휴일인 독립기념일이 있어서 아침에 잠도 푹 자고 점심으로 삼겹살이랑 차돌박이 구이를 먹기로 했다. 애틀랜타 한인마트인 에이치마트에서 삼겹살 대용량 팩을 반값 할인을 하고 있어서 정말 저렴하게 두팩 사와서 소분을 해두었다. 차돌박이는 어번 고기뷔페에서 먹었을 때 우리 둘다 너무 좋아해서 생 차돌박이도 한팩 잊지않고 사왔다.

We went to a trip to Atlanta last weekend. So we didn't get to rest enough. But, today is a federal holiday, 4th of July! We slept in this morning and had a bbq party at lunch. We bought family packs of porkbelly which was 50% cheaper than regular price and fresh beef brisket. 

스카일러의 로망이었던(?) 삼겹살 부탄가스 버너도 한인마트에서 함께 구입했다. 버너에 필요한 부탄가스와 직화 구이판도 같이 샀는데 구이판에 하트모양이 새겨져있는 지는 오늘에서야 알았다.

Skylar really wanted a portable gas stove for a long time. So when we saw them at Hmart, we instantly put one into our buggie. We also bought butane gas and grilling pan. We didn't notice that the pan has heart shapes on it till this afternoon.

먼저 담백한 소고기 차돌박이부터 구워주고~

We started grilling with beef briskets.

얇은 소고기라서 역시 금방 구워졌다. 너무 너무 맛있었던 차돌박이. 한팩 더 사올걸 :P

This is so thin that it cooked in no time. It was sooooo good. We should have bought another pack.

스카일러가 이 버너를 갖고 싶어했던 이유가 바로 그때 그때 앉은 자리에서 구울 수 있기 때문이었다.

The reason why my husband wanted this gas stove was that we can carry it around and grill meat on a table.

그 다음으로는 소분해두었던 냉동삼겹살을 구웠다. 이 삼겹살은 처음부터 적당한 크기로 잘려있어서 좋았다.

After beef briskets, we cooked porkbelly. This was cut in a perfect size from the beginning.

삼겹살도 너무 맛있게 구워서 먹었다. 이 그릴팬은 코팅이 잘 되어있어서 나중에 설거지할 때도 무지 편리했다고 한다. 그리고 저 양파는 비달리아 양파라고 납작하게 생긴 양파인데 맛이 다른 양파보다 더 달콤하고 아삭해서 내 최애 양파가 되었다 *_* 남편은 오늘이 최고의 독립기념일이었다고 한다. ㅋㅋ

This porkbelly was good as well. This grilling pan is coated so Skylar said it was easy to clean it. The onion is a vidalia onion and it looks kindof flat. I think vidalia onions are sweeter and crunchier than other onions. Skylar thought this 4th was the best!
