스카일러가 얼떨결에 찾아낸 혁오 북미투어 콘서트 정보 덕분에 이 먼 미국 땅에서도 혁오밴드를 만날 수 있었다! 하필 월요일 저녁 9시에 시작이라 퇴근을 조금 일찍하고 애틀랜타로 향했다. 콘서트 장은 애틀랜타에서 북서쪽에 위치한 곳이어서 그렇게 교통이 막히거나 하진 않았다.

Skylar found information about Hyuk Oh concert in Atlanta, we hurried to buy tickets. The concert was on monday night, we had to leave work a bit earlier and head to Atlanta. 

내가 사는 알라바마 주에서는 복권이 금지되어 있어서 조지아 주로 넘어오면 복권을 꼭 사보는데 이 날 10달러에 당첨되었다. ㅋㅋ

This time I won $10!!

도착했을 즈음에는 거의 8시가 다 되어서 긴 줄이 늘어서 있었다. 콘서트 시작은 9시부터이지만 개방은 8시부터라서 일찌감치부터 오신 분들이 계셨다.

By the time we got there, it was almost 8p.m. Since the venue opened 8 P.M. There was a long line.

티켓을 보여주고 드디어 입장~~

We showed our tickets to get in.

모든 좌석은 스탠딩이었고, 공연장은 아담했지만 시설이 깔끔하고 새 것 같았다. 특히나 공연장 뒷편으로는 바가 2개나 있어서 마시고 싶은 음료나 알코올을 주문해서 마실 수 있었다.

All tickets were for standing. The venue was small, nice and new. There were two bars in the back so people bought some drinks.

공연의 시작은 Innerwave 라는 밴드의 연주였다. 나는 악기에 대해 잘 모르지만 스카일러가 베이스기타가 정말 좋았다고 했다. 이 밴드와  혁오밴드가 투어를 함께 하는 것 같았다. 이 공연장이 정말 좋았던게 공연이 시작되면 사람들 호응도 커지고 열기도 더해지는데 그에따라 선풍기랑 에어컨도 풀가동시켜줘서 정말 시원하게 관람할 수 있었다. (내가 걱정했던게 다른 사람들 냄새 맡을까봐였는데;; 그런 거는 거의 없었다.)

The concert started with this band Innerwave. I don't really know about guitars or instrument, Skylar said their base guitar was the best. This band seems to be on tour with Hyuk Oh. We really liked the venue because when performance starts, there is more energy and it heats up the place, but this venue ran fans and air conditioner to cool down the place. So we could see the concert without smelling weird BO.

고대하고 고대하던 혁오밴드가 모습을 드러내자 사람들이 열광했다. ㅋㅋ 나와 스카일러도 :) 처음 곡은 옹달샘으로 시작했고 중간에 오혁이 내일이 혁오밴드 4주년?이라고 해서 생일축하 노래까지 떼창했다.

Finally Hyuk oh came out! They started playing Skyworld. Oh Hyuk *the vocal of the band* told us their 4th anniversary was next day so we sang happy birthday(?) song together.

처음엔 오혁이 모자를 쓰고 나와서 얼굴이 잘 안보여서 아쉬웠는데 이게 나름? 모자를 벗었을 때 분위기를 고조시키려고 그런거였다ㅋㅋ

I was wondering why Oh Hyuk was wearing a cap, but when he took it off, people liked it lol

혁오밴드가 더 좋아진 계기가 오혁이 영어를 엄청 쿨하게 한다. ㅋㅋ 한국어도 그렇게 할 거 같긴 한데 뭔가 무심하게 툭툭 던지는 말투가 시크하고 자신감 있어보이면서 멋있었다.

Actually the reason why I liked the band more after the show was because of Oh Hyuk's attitude. People (and me) tend to be less confident in a different language. But he seemed cool, calm and confident.

밴드 공연 때는 이어플러그가 있으면 전체 악기도 조화롭게 들리고 귀도 덜아픈데 내가 그걸 사놓고 집에 두고 왔다 이날 귀 피나는 줄 ㅠㅠㅠ 근데 진짜 오혁이 노래를 열심히 해서 나도 인생을 열심히 살고 싶게 만드는 그런 동기부여가(?) 됐다.

Skylar bought me earplugs for this concert. But I forgot to take them to the concert. My ear felt to bleed after the show lol. Somehow this band made me want to live life to the full. Because they played the instruments and sang so hard, it motivated me a lot.

한국에서였으면 치열한 티켓팅을 통해 먼 자리 하나 얻을까 말까했던 혁오밴드 공연을 내가 사는 미국에서 볼 줄이야 누가 알았을까~ 너무 소중하고 감사한 시간이었고 혁오밴드도 북미투어 무사히 마치고 더 더 월드스타 되기를 바라본다.

If I was in Korea, I would have had to fight to get a ticket for the worst seat, but who knew I would see hyuk oh this close in a different country? It was very meaningful and unforgettable. Soon Hyuk oh will be one of the most popular bands :D
