미국 앨라배마 - 스위스 여행기

스위스 여행에서 하이라이트였던 곳은 바로 뮈렌(뮤렌)이었다. 스카일러가 고소공포증이 있는 편이라 케이블카를 죽어도 안타겠다고 하는 걸 스위스여행까지 왔는데 산악마을인 뮈렌을 꼭 가봐야한다고 설득해서 갔는데 본인이 더 만족해했다.

Our favorite place in Switzerland was Murren which is a mountain village. Skylar seems to have acrophobia, he didn't want to ride a cable car. I convinced him to do it since we were in Switzerland!! Eventually he agreed it was a good idea to visit Murren.

라우터브루넨 Lauterbrunnen

뮤렌에 가려면 라우터브루넨 기차역으로 가야한다. 기차역에서 나오자마자 거대한 폭포 때문에 공중에 미스트를 뿌린 것처럼 가끔씩 물방울이 얼굴로 튀었다.

To get to Murren, you have to go to Lauterbrunnen by train first. They have a big waterfall in the village, it makes mist in air.

뮈렌에 올라가기 전, 라우터브루넨을 간단히 둘러보았다. 평화로운 마을이었던 라우터브루넨. 스카일러는 평발이라 발이 아프다고 해서 혼자 천천히 둘러보고 왔다.

We casually walked around Lauterbrunnen before heading to Murren. Skylar has flat feet, he wanted to sit down for a while. So while he was resting, I walked further alone.

처음으로 벨라를 일주일간 시부모님께 맡겨두고 온 거였는데 벨라가 엄청 그리워질 때 쯤 나타난 스위스 검은 고양이. 사람을 잘 따르는 고양이었다.

It was our first time to leave Bella alone for a week. By the time we missed her, this black cat showed up. He was very friendly.

뮤렌 산악마을 Murren

뮤렌에 가려면 엄청나게 큰 케이블카를 타고 가파른 산을 올라간다. 그 후에 또 산악열차로 갈아타야한다. 긴장 백배였지만 스위스 케이블 카는 정말 안정적이었다. 스카일러는 아틀란타 스톤마운틴에 있는 케이블카를 탄 이후로 덜컹거리는 케이블카를 극혐하는데, 스위스 케이블 카는 정말 훨씬 낫다.

Murren is located on the mountains, we need to ride this big cable car and the route was so steep that I even got afraid to look outside. But the cable car itself was very stable. It was nothing scary compared to Stone mountain's skyride.

아직 뮤렌이 어떤 곳인지 기대치가 0인 스카일러. 반신반의하며 산악열차에 올랐다.

Yet Skylar had no anticipation about Murren. He was still doubting it would worth it to go.

이 산악열차는 앉는 방향이 중요한데, 뮤렌으로 향할 때에 기차의 출발방향을 기준으로 왼쪽에 앉아야 창 밖을 구경할 수 있다.

It is really important to which side to sit in this mountain train. It decides whether you can enjoy the view or not. You need to find the right side to get the perfect view.

이 때부터 우리는 감탄하기 시작했다. 산악열차에서 보는 스위스 산맥은 정말이지 아름다움 그 자체였다. 눈이 쌓인 산봉우리와 대조되는 초록빛 들판들. 5월의 스위스는 너무 아름답다!!

We started getting amazed by the view. This view was absolutely astonishing. It was a great experience to enjoy the best mountainous view across from this high mountain in train!

뮤렌에서 유명한 통나무로 향했다. 의외로 사람이 많지 않아서 사진을 많이 찍을 수 있었다. 사진을 찍고있다보니 거의 우박같은 눈이 내리기도 해서 겨울로 돌아온 기분이었다.

When we got to Murren station, we directly headed to this photo spot with an old log. There were not many people. So we got to take many pictures. While we were taking pictures, it suddenly snowed.

왜 포토스팟인지 알겠다. 뒤로는 스위스 골짜기를 배경으로 삼고 눈으로 덮인 웅장한 산맥들이 스위스에 왔다는 걸 완벽하게 표현해준다!! 스카일러도 사진찍기 신났다.

It was such a great place for photo shoot. You have a Swiss valley and the alps in the background! Skylar enjoyed taking pictures here as well.

열심히 사진을 찍고 뮤렌을 돌아다니는데 눈이 또 내렸는데, 그 날의 분위기가 잊혀지지 않는다. 몸이 덜덜 떨리는 추위가 아니고, 눈이 내릴 때 은근히 느껴지는 포근함과 약간의 서늘한 공기가 합쳐졌던 그 날의 날씨.

We were walking around this village, it snowed again. I can't forget the mood on the day. It wasn't cold but nicely cool. It made me feel like I was there in winter.
