화단 경계선 두르기 Flower bed edging

 

This was the status from the last post. I decided to place a flower bed edging around the flower bed. Because whenever it rains, the outer soil falls into my flower bed. I was afraid weeds would eventually invade my flower bed.

여기까지가 지난번 화단 만들기 프로젝트 현황이었다. 여기서 화단 경계선을 둘러보기로 했다. 왜냐면 비올 때 마다 경계부분의 흙이 뭉뚱그려져서 그대로 오래 두면 잔디나 잡초들이 화단 영역 안으로 들어오게 되기 때문이다.

 

This is an edging I bought. The good thing about this is there is no need of digging to put it around. All you need to do is hammer plastic spikes in the holes. You can easily cut this and this will last a long time.

이게 내가 고른 화단경계띠? 화단경계선?인데 이게 좋은 점이 보통 화단 경계를 만들때 추가적으로 땅을 파야하는 수고로움이 들어가지만 이건 저 구멍 부분에 플라스틱 못만 땅땅 박아주면 땅을 안파도 되기 때문이다. 진짜 핵간편!

 

It took me less than a half hour to install it. Unless you have very rocky soil, this will be the easiest way to edge your flower beds.

그리하여 삼십분도 채 걸리지 않아 경계선을 두를 수 있었다. 생각보다 가볍고 못질도 고무망치 이용한거라 땅이 돌땅 아닌 이상은 정말 쉽다.

It is clearly better after edging when you compare these two pictures.

확실히 전 후 사진을 비교해보면 전 사진은 좀 더 썰렁한 느낌이 있다. 경계선이 주는 임팩트가 있긴 있나봄 ㅎ

Next thing I want to do is buy some blueish silvery bricks and put them along the edge. I would buy a few just to see if they would look good with my house next time I go to Lowe's. I don't know when lol.

다음으로 (아마... 언젠가) 화단경계선을 따라 화단경계석을 사는 일이다. 이 회백색 벽돌을 사서 두르면 화단 만들기는 완성이 된다. 다음에 로우스에 가게 되면 몇개 사서 우리 집과 어울리는 지 봐야겠다.
