데이비드오스틴 장미 울러톤 올드홀과 의문의 주드 디 옵스큐어 David Austin, Wollerton Old Hall

어제 가드닝센터에 가서 데이비드오스틴 장미를 두 개 더 사왔다. 둘 다 같은 이름표 【울러톤 올드홀】를 달고 있었는데, 집에 와서 심고 보니 아무리 봐도 둘이 다른 장미인 것 같았다. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

I went to Lowes yesterday and bought two roses with the same name tag "Wollerton Old Hall". After I planted the two roses into the flower bed, I realized both didn't look the same kind.

이건 확실히 입을 다문 찐빵 모양인게 울러톤 올드홀이 맞는 것 같다... 반면 같은 이름표를 달고 있던 다음 장미를 보면,

이 연노란색이 울러톤 올드홀이라구??? 나만 그런가? 색이랑 꽃 모양도 완전 달라보이는데. 내가 데이비드 오스틴 장미 잘알은 아니지만, 공식 홈페이지에서 찾아보니 바네사 벨이라는 장미랑 좀 비슷해보였다.

This looked completely different from the one earlier. Not only the flower shape but also the color. I am guessing this variety would be Vanessa Bell.

뭐 두 개 다 울러톤 올드홀이 아니어도 괜찮다. 오히려 다양한 종류의 장미를 우연찮게 구입해서 땡잡은 기분도 있는데, 이게 다가 아니다....

이번 삼월 초에 배송 받았던 주드 디 옵스큐어가 거의 피기 직전인데 색깔이 내가 기대한 그 색이 아니다...

I don't mind even if they were different varieties, I think it is actually a good thing. But this is not the end. My Jude The Obscure rose is about to bloom. It was delivered this March, and now that I look the color is far from Jude the Obscure's.

꽃이 피고 나서야 어떤 품종이겠구나 추측이 좀 더 쉬워지겠지만, 완전 당황스러웠다. 근데 꽃 색만 봐서는 보스코벨 같은데 그 옆에 내가 키우는 보스코벨이랑 잎사귀 색이 다르다. 이 종류가 부분 부분 잎사귀에서 붉은 기가 좀 더 돔. 어쨌든 엄청 꽃이 이상하지 않는 이상은 환불하진 않을 거 같지만 오배송 된 장미를 받은 게 좀 황당하기도 하고, 꽃이 피기 전까진 알 방법이 없다는 것도 조금 웃겼다. 두 달 동안 주드 디 옵스큐어로 알고 기대하고 있다가 다른 색이 나타났으니 ㅋㅋㅋ 그래도 결과적으론 분홍색 장미 두 그루가 있는게 더 잘 어울릴 것 같긴 하다.

I can make a guess one it blooms. It almost looks like Boscobell which I already had. But this rose has reddish leaves. I don't think I would get a refund or anything but I was taken aback that the rose was not what I expected after 2 months of waiting. But overall I think this rose will get along with Boscobell better. 

이건 내가 기존에 가지고 있던 보스코벨 :) 빨리 폈으면...

This one is Boscobell. Hope it will bloom soon!

Also, my border lily just bloomed today.

5월에 접어 들었다고 오후에 햇빛이 완전 강렬하다. 여름아 너무 빨리 오진 마...^^;

It got so much sunnier and hotter than April already.
