미국 남부 여행 알라바마 주 헌츠빌 사파리 탐험 Harmony Park Safari

시아빠가 하루 휴가를 내셔서 시동생, 나와 함께 헌츠빌에 위치한 사파리로 데려가셨다.

캐시디랑 시아빠는 저번에 한번 왔었는데 이번엔 평일 오전에 가서인지 그 큰 사파리에 우리 밖에 없었다.

My father in law took a day off and took Cassidy and me to this Safari in Huntsville.

They had been here before but this time we were the only ones in the park because it was a weekday morning.

입장료를 낼 때 먹이도 같이 구매할 수 있다.

You can buy animal food when you pay entrance fee.

차로 그대로 운전해서 구경하는 사파리인데

우리가 마침 첫 팀이었는지 동물들이 배가 많이 고픈 모양이었다.

The animals seemed hungry, I guess we were the first visitors on the day.

곳곳에 풀어놓고 키우는 사파리어서 동물원보다 훨씬 동물들에게도 자유롭다는 생각이 들었다.

They were free to move, so living in a safari must be better for them than a zoo.

실제로 라마는 처음 봤는데 눈이 엄청 컸다.

타조는 여기저기 먹이를 찾아 잘도 쫓아온다.

I hadn't seen lamas before. they had big eyes.

The ostrich kept following us for food.

아프리카 점박이 무늬 기린은 사파리 동물 중 몸집이 가장 컸음에도 불구하고

작은 우리에 갇혀있는 모습이 안타까웠다.

Even though this giraffe was the tallest animal in the safari,

The cage for it was so small. I felt bad.

순록도 실제로 처음봤는데 너무 예뻤다. ;)

얼룩말은 의외로 순한 성격이었다. 

야생동물 만지는 건 내 나름의 큰 도전이었는데 얼룩말에 손가락 하나 갖다대는 거 성공 ㅠㅠ

This was my first time to see rain deer. 

This zebra was gentle but touching it was still a challenge to me.

I barely petted it.

저 뿔로 자동차 들이받는다고 자꾸 상상이 가서 무서웠다....

아무 일도 일어나진 않았지만서도 ㅋㅋ

I couldn't help imagining them hitting the car with their horns.

Well, that didn't happen though.

사파리 막바지 출구엔 아기 돼지들이 옹기종기 모여다닌다. ㅋㅋ

At the end, there were cute piglets.

사파리 구경 후 주차장에 차를 대고 거북이들 줄 상추를 살 수 있다.

We parked and bought some lettuce for turtles.

 

아기 거북인가 아니면 작은 종의 성인 거북인가...

Are they babies or small kind adult turtles..?

무늬가 화려한 이 새도 상추를 주니 잘 받아먹는다.

This colorful bird ate lettuce too.

원숭이들도 상추 냠냠

The monkeys loved lettuce.

어디선가 나타난 아기 고양이!!!

루시랑 너무 닮았는데 사람을 잘 따르고 애교가 많았다. ㅠㅠ

A kitty suddenly showed up.

It looked just alike Lucy and liked people :)

새끼 파란꼬리 도마뱀을 발견하자 바로 사냥본능 발동!!!

도마뱀 꼬리를 아주 세동강 내더니 죽을 때까지 가지고 놀았다;

She found a blue tail lizard and became a hunter.

She broke its tail into 3 pieces and played with it till it died;;;

 

입구에 세워져 있는 이 통나무는 캘리포니아 레드우드 트리로써,

엄청난 나이테(?)를 보유하고 있다.

This log is a California Red Wood Tree.

It had lived for a long long time.

무려 붓다보다 먼저 태어난 나무인 셈...

자연 앞에서 인간의 역사는 아주 짧게 느껴질 정도다.

It sprouted even before birth of Buddah.

It makes history seem very short.

또 한가지 볼 거리는 바로 파충류 박물관(!)

Another thing to do is visit the reptile house.

온갖 거북이, 개구리, 뱀, 도마뱀부터 아나콘다까지 살고 있었다........

스카일러는 파충류 좋아하는 걸로 알고 있는데 여기 왔으면 관심있게 봤을 것 같다.

There were so many kinds of turtles, frogs, snails and lizards even anacondas.

Skylar would like to see them in person.

가족 단위로 구경 오기에 좋은 헌츠빌 하모니파크 사파리였다.

This place is perfect for families.
