어른 입장료 : 인당 12$ 

어린이(만 3~18세) : 인당 8$

군인, 학생, 노인(만 55세 이상) : 인당 10$

오늘 날씨가 화창하고 기온도 26도 이상이라 헌츠빌 식물원에 가기로 했다. 

Today's weather was so perfect that we decided to go to Huntsville Botanical Garden.

도착해보니 가족 단위 방문객이 많아서 잠시 어리둥절했지만 이내 이스터 전날임을 기억해냈다.

저 건물안에 들어가면 정말 많은 사람들이 있었고, 입장료를 내야 했다. 

2인 세금 전 가격이 24$였으니깐 세금 포함하면 대략 26달러 이상 정도 된다.

버밍햄 식물원은 입장료가 무료인지라 헌츠빌 식물원도 그럴거라 의레짐작했었다.

When we got there, There were a lot of families. Maybe it was because today was the day before Easter.

In the white building, you pay entrance fee. 

It was almost like 26$ for 2 adults after tax.

Since Birmingham one was free, we assumed this one would be free too.

건물을 지나 나오면 정원과 분수를 볼 수 있다.

Once you pass that building you can see garden and fountain.

이스터 관련해 어린이들을 위한 행사가 진행 중이어서 붐비지 않을까 걱정했는데

웬걸, 모든 사람들이 행사에  참여 중인지라 거의 전세내다시피 식물원을 돌아다닐 수 있었다.

We thought this garden would be so crowded because there was an Easter event for children.

It turned out we could walk around as if we borrowed this garden only for us, while they were joining the event.

우산으로 천장을 꾸며놓은 게 인상적이었던 실내정원

This butterfly house was decorated with umbrellas.

위 사진 찍을 때 큰 벌이 날라다녀서 애먹었다.

We were having trouble taking this picture because there was a giant bee around there.

Easter egg hunt

They spread eggs across the lawn and kids went picked them up.

실제로 보석이 있거나 하진 않았다.

There were no jewels though.

사실 여기 미국남부의 봄은 한국의 초여름 날씨랑 흡사 비슷한 것 같았다.

일조량이 엄청나서 그만큼 식물들도 빨리 자라는 데, 푸른 수풀이 너무 예뻐보였다.

사진 찍는데 벌레가 여기저기서 튀어나와서 깜짝 깜짝 놀랬다는....

Actually southern american spring is like korean early summer.

Most trees have bloomed here and they are so green now.

I tried going into the field for pictures.

So many bugs hopped over my feet. they scared me.

이때가 대략 오전 11시 쯤 되었는데 해가 너무 내리쬐서 슬슬 더워지기 시작했다.

When we walked this path it was about 11'o clock.

It was getting soooo sunny and hot already.

나뭇잎 원피스를 입고 식물원에 간게 신의 한수였다. 배경과 일체가 되었다..

Wearing this leaf patterned dress was the final-touch for pictures in this garden.

I looked good in this dress.

어느새 아무도 없는 산책로에 다다르게 되었다. 수풀이 우거져있어서 더 선선했다.

We happened upon this walking trail with no people. It was cool.

재채기 하려는 찰나에 찍혔다.

When Skylar was taking this picture of me I was about to sneeze.

되게 독특한 구조물.. 들어가보면 햇빛이 사이사이로 들어와서 더 예쁘다.

Very unique structure. It was even cooler in person. 

You can see all the sun lights through the structure.

고대 그리스 신전 기둥들을 뽑아다가 심어놓은 것 같은 정원

This field looked like it was filled with ancient greek pillars.

이 사진 찍을 때 철쭉 안에 큰 불개미가 있어서 개미있다고 남편한테 얘기하자

놀란 표정으로 사진찍는 거 괜찮은 시도였다고 놀려댔다.

I told Skylar that there were red ants in the azelea,

He just made fun of my surprised look.

엄청 초록초록하다. 이 다리 건너면서 빨간머리앤 애니메이션 생각이 났다.

Very Greeeeen. This place reminded me of animation 'Anne of green gables' somehow.

작은 연못과 분수들이 모여있는 장소가 있었다. 

Small ponds with fountains.

사실 남편은 오리 거의 만지지도 않았는데 사진찍을 때 만지는 줄 알고 엄청 식겁했다.

I got freaked out that I thought he was touching the goose.

Actually he was even nowhere near reaching it.

유투브인가 인스타그램에서 유명한 여친 손 잡고 여행다니는 커플 사진 컨셉 따라해봤다.

I saw couple-holding-hands-pictures on Instagram or Youtube before.

I tried copying it.

정말 괜찮은 잔디밭이 있어서 남편이 누워보겠다길래 그러라 했는데 정말 누울 지 몰랐다.

이 장면이 마치 영화 보이후드 포스터 같아서 문구도 한번 넣어봤다.

There was a fine lawn. He wanted to lay down there.

This picture looked like the poster for the movie 'Boyhood'.

이 사진 찍을 때 왜 오른쪽에서 찍냐고 정면에서 찍으라고 남편 구박했는데 알고보니 

뒤에서 어떤 남성분이 유모차 끌고 지나가고 계셨다. 그것도 모르고.....'ㅁ';

I insisted him to stand in front of me not by my side.

Later he told me that there was a guy behind me with a stroller.

마지막으로 기념품가게에 들려서 모자를 사려고 했는데 너무 비싸서 결국 사지는 못했다.

We visited the gift shop to get a straw hat, but they were too expensive.
