헌츠빌 한국 음식점 가람
Huntsville Korean restaurant GARAM
헌츠빌 식물원 근처에 한국 음식점이 몇개 있는데
아이러브코리아랑 가람이랑 둘 중 어느 곳 갈까 고민하다가 가람으로 갔다.
There are a couple of korean restaurants around huntsville botanical garden.
we chose GARAM over I LOVE KOREA.
요즘은 나보다 더 한식을 좋아하는 것 같은 남편이다.
한국 음식점 발견할 때마다 가보자고 한다. (기특)
These days my husband enjoys korean food more than I do.
He wants to try korean restaurants.
우리가 도착한 시간이 마침 런치메뉴 시간이어서 런치인 고기랑 덮밥 메뉴를 주문했다.
메뉴에 고기라고 되어 있어서 고기모음 세트인가 했더니, 그냥 다 덮밥같은 메뉴인가보다.
남편은 고기 중 닭고기를 선택하고 나는 소고기 덮밥으로 결정.
We arrived at the restaurant during lunch time.
We ordered from the lunch menu.
I thought the menu MEAT meant meat combination, but it was not.
You choose one meat and its served with rice.
My husband chose chicken and I ordered beef&rice.
한국 음식점에 가면 매번 고민하는게 주문을 영어로 해야하나 한국어로 해야하는건가 괜히.. 주저하게 된다.
가람에서는 그냥 영어로 주문했다.
서빙해주시는 분도 굉장히 친절하셨다.
남편 메뉴가 조금 매울 수도 있다는 데 남편은 괜찮다고 그런다.
점점 더 매운 음식 잘 먹는 거 같다....
I always hesitate whether to order in Korean or not at a korean restaurant.
I did in English this time at GARAM.
The server was nice too.
She asked my husband if spicy food is ok.
He is getting better and better at eating spicy food.
남편이 메뉴 주문할 때 "I want 고기"라고 했는데 서버분이나 나나 심지어 본인까지 한국어 섞어서 주문했다는 걸 몰랐다.
너무 자연스러워서 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ.. 나중에야 깨달은 사실이다.
한글 메뉴도 잘 읽는 남편.
When he ordered the menu "MEAT", he said "I want GOGI".
Nobody noticed that he mixed Korean and English in that sentence.
It was so natural that we didn't realize till later.
He can read Korean :)
음식 기다리는 중
오래 걸리진 않았다. 10분 정도?
Waiting for the food.
It didn't take long. about 10 mins?
불고기 덮밥
Dupbap with meat.
Dupbap means a bowl of rice served with toppings.
겉보기는 흡사 오징어덮밥처럼 보이는 남편 음식.
맛은 닭갈비맛이다!
His food almost looks like squid dupbap.
It tasted like dak-gal-bi.
가람에서 가장 만족한 건 정갈한 반찬들.
심지어 미국 온 이후로 처음 만난 숙주나물...
나물킬러인 나는 숙주나물이 너무 반가워서 흡입했다.
The most satisfying thing was their side dishes.
I love the bean sprout side dish which is in the top left of the picture.
I gobbled up the side dishes.
남편은 김치 매니아인데 이제는 오이소박이까지 좋아한다.
나보고 만들어달라고 요청까지 함 '-'a
My husband is a Kimchi person.
Now he even likes cucumber kimchi.
He asked me to make it at home.
남편 메뉴 뺏어 먹어보기.
Trying out his food.
식물원 둘러본 이후로 허기젔던 우리는 반찬까지 싹싹 비워냈다.
사실 런치메뉴를 제외하고는 가격이 꽤나 부담스러웠던 것이 사실..ㅠ_ㅠ
남편은 닭고기 대신 소고기를 시킬 걸 후회했지만 나는 정말 맛있게 먹었다.
We literally finished all the plates since we were starving after looking around the garden.
Actually their food was kind of expensive.
He regretted choosing chicken instead of beef, but I really enjoyed the food.
