마더스데이 버밍햄 식물원 & 버밍햄 동물원 구경

마더스데이를 맞아 시댁 식구들과 함께 버밍햄으로 떠났다.

시부모님들은 한번도 버밍햄 식물원에 와본 적이 없다고 해서 딱이었다.

 My husband's family and I left for Birmingham for mother's day.

Since my mother and father in law hadn't been to Birmingham botanical garden before

It was a perfect place to go.

특히 5월은 장미의 계절로 많은 장미들이 활짝 피어있어서 너무 아름다웠다.

 In May, roses are fully blooming.

윙딩이라는 작은 장미였는데 귀여웠다.

 The small rose named WING DING was so cute.

버밍햄 식물원 장미가든 모습.

  This is the rose garden.

저번 식물원 방문 때 보지 못했던 릴리도 거의 끝물이었지만 몇개 볼 수 있었고,

선인장에도 예쁜 꽃이 피어있었다.

 We were able to see these flowers that we couldn't see last visit.

Even cactus were blooming.

Birmingham Botanical Garden - Japanese Garden -

날씨가 점점 더워져서 점심을 먹고 버밍햄 동물원으로 갔다.

 It was getting too hot.

We left for lunch and went to birmingham zoo.

 

버밍햄 동물원에는 버밍햄 식물원에 없는 나비정원이 있었다..(황당)

 Birmingham zoo has a butterfly garden which the botanical garden doesn't have..

시엄마는 나비를 좋아하시는 것 같았다.

작은 정원이었지만 나비가 꽤나 많았다.

 My mother in law seemed to like butterflies.

Even thought it was a small garden, there were many butterflies.

동물원에서도 예쁜 꽃을 구경할 수 있었다.

 So we could see pretty flowers even at the zoo.

버밍햄 동물원에는 동물 의자로 된 유니크한 회전목마(?)도 있다.

 There was an unique carousel with different animals to ride.

시동생은 플라밍고 옆에서 같이 셀카찍자고 했지만 나는 새 옆에 가까이 가는 게 무서워서 싫다고 했는데

플라밍고가 시누의 머리를 콕 쪼았다 ㅡㅡ;

 My sister in law suggested taking a selfie with her and I refused since I hate birds.

And the flamingo pecked her hair.

먹이를 직접 구입해서 앵무새에게 먹이를 줘 볼 수도 있다.

서로 먹겠다고 적극적인 앵무새들이다. 

 You can buy food to feed the parrots.

They were so aggressive that they fought over the food. 

바나나 원숭이가 먹이를 먹고 있는 모습.

 This banana monkey was eating the food.

야생동물도 많았는데 코끼리도 한마리 볼 수 있었다.

다른 동물들에 비해 큰 우리였지만 그래도 야생의 크기에 비하면 만족스럽지 않을 거란 생각이 들었다.

 There were many wild animals such as an elephant.

He had a bigger enclosure than other's, I still didn't think that was big enough.

기린 우리에는 희한하게도 타조도 함께 사육된다.

둘이 잘 지내서 그런거겠지?

 The giraffes were living with ostriches. 

I guess it's because they don't attack each other.

버밍햄 동물원의 최고 귀염둥이 삼총사!!

맨 위부터 팬더, 다이커(영양의 일종), 아프리카 야생 고양이!

마음이 아팠던 건 우리가 비좁았는지 마지막 고양이가 쉴새없이 왔다리 갔다리하며 정신분열증을 겪고 있는 게 아닌지 걱정이 되었다.

 These are the cutest animals in the zoo.

From the top it's a panda, blue duiker and african wild cat.

It was sad because the wild cat kept walking back and forth like it was going crazy.

오색 앵무새들도 있었고

 There were colorful parrots,

이끼가 잔뜩 낀 악어 세마리

 three moss covered alligators,

우아한 백조까지

 a swan.

얼룩말들은 실제로도 무늬가 참 아릅다웠다.

아프리카산 혹멧돼지라는 이 동물은 라이언킹의 품바의 실제 모델이다 : )

 The zebras' patterns looked beautiful in person.

And the warthog which is an african wild pig is what Pumba is.
