예전에 헌츠빌에 신세계라는 한국음식점에 간 적이 있었는데 그 때 스카일러가 바로 옆에 있는

이 마트에 가보자고 했었다. 근데 "International" 마켓이라는 이름 때문에 '별 거 없겠지' 하고 들르지 않았었다.

그러다 바로 엊그제 방문을 했는데 생각보다 넓은 크기에 바로 포스팅해야겠다고 생각했다.

Skylar and I had lunch at Shinsegye, Korean Restaurant a while ago.

Skylar suggested we check out this market which was right next to the restaurant.

But since the market is an "International" market, we thought it wouldn't have much Korean grocery.

So we didn't visit the market by then.

A day before yesterday we went to this market and actually it's a Korean grocery market.

It had so many Korean things!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

들어가자마자 눈이 휘둥그레해졌다.

일반 두부가 종류별로 있었고 순두부까지 있었다.

As we entered, I got so surprised by how many tofus they had!

they had all kinds of tofus. firm/soft/extra soft

 

냉동 삼겹살도 있어서 지금 있는 삼겹살 떨어지면 한번 사볼 예정이다.

They had frozen pork belly I'm going to try out theirs soon.

 

 

 

냉동 해산물 코너에는 쉽게 구하기 어려운 쭈꾸미, 바지락, 한국산 굴과 명란젓까지 있다.

Also they had baby octopus, clams, korean oysters in the fridge which are very hard to get near here.

 

 

 

 

오히려 둘루스 H마트에서 찾기 실패한 어묵도 종류별로 있었다. 

I failed to find fishcakes at H mart.

Holiday international market had so many fishcakes.

 

 

 

 

여기서 뚝배기도 살 수 있는 지 몰랐음 ㅠㅠ

I didn't know that I could get a clay pot at this close place!

 

 

 

 

 

 

쫄면, 냉면에 찌개가 종류 별로 있었다.

이렇게 가까운 곳에 구세주같은 한인마트가 있을 줄이야...

갑자기 이 미국생활이 더 윤택해진 느낌이 든다. ㅋㅋ

I found all kinds of Korean noodles too.

Suddenly my life in Alabama became much easier lol.

 

 

 

 

떡볶이랑 김밥에 들어가는 우엉과 단무지도 있다!

I saw Tteok-bokki and seasoned burdock(?), pickled radish for Kimbap. 

 

 

 

 

심지어 그 구하기 힘든 나물들도 있음

I got so amazed that this market had Korean wild vegetables.

 

 

 

 

한국요리 필수품 다시다랑 고추가루도 많다.

Korean cooking necessity soup stocks and pepper powders.

 

 

 

 

장 종류도 아주 다양함

They had a variety of Korean sauces.

 

 

 

 

 

채소 코너에는 내가 그렇게 애타게 찾아다니던 콩나물까지 ㅠㅠ

하나 사서 조만간 콩불 해먹을 생각이다.

Look what I found !

I found beansprouts for the first time in Alabama.

I bought one bag and I'm going to cook bacon with them.

 

 

 

 

여기서 작은 김치 4달러 주고 구매했는데 김치 진짜 진짜 맛있다.

다음에 가면 대용량으로 살거다.

마늘 다대기 팍팍 들어간 설렁탕용 김치맛이라고 하면 설명이 되려나?

I bought small sized Kimchi here and the Kimchi was the best!

I'm going to get the big one next time.

 

 

 

 

반찬 코너도 있어서 이 주변에 사는 분들이라면 간편히 사다먹을 수 있겠다고 생각했다.

Also they had side dishes so if you live close by, you can buy, eat them with rice.

 

 

 

 

친절하신 한국인 부부가 운영하는 한인마트이자 인터네셔널 마켓인데

9년 전부터 시작하여 2년 전부터는 일본, 히스패닉, 자메이카 식료품도 취급하고 계신다고 하셨다.

우리 집에서 가까운 헌츠빌에 위치한 한인마트를 발견해서 너무 행복하다!

테네시, 버밍햄에서도 일부러 찾아올 정도라고 하니 이 근처에 사는 분들이라면 한번쯤 들려봐도 좋을 것 같다.

The Korean owners run this market.

They told that they started running this market 9 years ago,

they started supplying international groceries together since 2016.

I'm so glad that I found this close Korean grocery market in Huntsville.

Even people from Tennessee and Birmingham come all the way to Huntsville for this market.So If you live in Alabama or close to Huntsville, I recommend you check out this market one time.
