미국 국립공원 스모키마운틴 밍구스 밀

본격적으로 스모키마운틴 국립공원에 들어가면 포토스팟이 있다 :)

We found this giant sign in the park.

그 다음 우리가 차를 세운 곳은 Oconaluftee Visitor Center.

이 곳에는 국립공원 안내 전단지가 종류 별로 전시되어 있고 각 안내서는 1달러~2달러 정도 지불한다.

We stopped at Oconaluftee Visitor Center.

There were many paid brochures about the park in the center.

기념품 샵도 있는데 스모키마운틴은 흑곰이 매우 유명하다. 

그래서인지 흑곰 인형이 무지 많았다.

At the gift shop, we saw lots of black bear dolls.

Because Smoky Mountains are famous for black bears.

우리가 운전해서 도착할 곳을 설명해주는 스카일러.

Skylar was showing me our driving route.

다음 목적지는 바로 밍구스 밀.

Next stop was Mingus Mill.

작은 개울 다리를 건너

We walked across a small bridge,

밍구스 밀이 보인다.

and saw Mingus Mill.

우리나라로 치면 방앗간이라고 해야하나?

그 옛날 옥수수 제분하던 곳

In past, this house ground corn mill.

이층으로 올라가 볼 수도 있는데 특별한 게 있지는 않았고

낙서하지 말라는 안내문과 밍구스 밀을 설명하는 사진들이 있었다.

We went to the second floor, and this sign said this historic place was reopened.

밍구스 밀 옆으로 흐르는 작은 개울을 이용해 물레방아를 돌리고

그 수력으로 옥수수를 빻는 곳

They built a waterwheel and used the small stream to run a grinder.
