Noccalula Falls Christmas at the Falls

크리스마스 시즌이 되면 노칼룰라 폭포 공원은 전등으로 아름답게 꾸며진다.

처음 미국에 왔을 때 당시엔 남친이었던 스카일러가 데려갔던 곳이며 프로포즈를 한 장소이기도 하다.

이번 년도엔 칼퇴근을 하고 시댁 가족들과 함께 방문했다.

During the holiday season, Noccalulla Falls is decorated with Christmas lights.

When I first came to America and Skylar was my boyfriend, he took me here.

Also he proposed to me at this park.

This year we came back to the park with my in laws.

크리스마스가 다가오는 시점에는 사람들로 붐비기 때문에 온라인으로 티켓을 구매하는 게 훨씬 빠르고 편리하다.

It's so crowded in this season, I recommend buying tickets online.

곧 있으면 미국에 온 지 1년이 다 되어 가는 시점인데

확실히 이 곳 생활에 적응도 많이 했고 취업도 해서 정착된 기분이 많이 들었다.

It's been almost one year since I moved to the US.

I feel settled down compared to when I just came here.

입장하고 처음 만난 푸드트럭에서는 음료와 팝콘을 파는데

여기 팝콘은 정말 맛있었다. 단짠의 완벽한 조화에다가 내가 제일 좋아하는 카라멜 팝콘이었다.

너무 많은 카라멜을 넣지 않은 것도 맘에 들었다.

The first food truck sells drinks and caramel popcorn.

Their popcorn was the best!

It was perfect a harmony of saltiness and sweetness.

My favorite popcorn is caramelized popcorn as well.

Also they didn't put too much caramel either.

이 전등 데코레이션은 내가 처음 노칼룰라 폭포에 왔을 때 기억을 불러 일으켰다.

This decoration reminded me of when I first came to Naccalulla Falls.

이건 2015년 사진. 2년 전의 나. 데코레이션이 거의 같다 ㅋㅋ

많은 인파 속에서 전등을 구경하는데 확실히 처음 왔을 때랑 다른 게 있다면

이미 한 번 봤던 거라 편안하고 좀 더 익숙한 기분이 더 들었다.

처음 왔을 땐 하나라도 안 놓치려고 긴장도 더 되고 사진을 많이 찍으려고 혈안이었었는데 말이다.

관광객의 입장과 주민의 입장차이랄까..ㅋㅋ

The big difference is that I felt so comfortable.

Because I have already seen the decorations and I felt more used to this place.

When I first came here, I felt rushed trying not to miss any parts and to take more pictures.

I guess i am changing from a traveler to a local.

푸드 코트도 있고 작은 상점도 있었다.

The park had a small shop and food tents.

가장 예쁜 데코레이션이 있는 장소에서 시댁 가족들 사진도 찍어드렸다.

I took pictures of my family in law where the best decorations were.

소중하게 팝콘 봉지 들고 본의 아니게 팝콘 홍보하고 다녔던 남편

그러다 어떤 분들이 팝콘 어디서 샀냐고 물어보셨음 ㅎ

Skylar was carrying the popcorn and promoting it unintentionally.

And some ladies asked him where to buy the popcorn lol.

비가 많이 왔어서 폭포수도 엄청 불어나 있었다.

The water was flowing a lot.

이 앵글을 보고 있자니 또 2년 전의 풋풋했던 우리 모습이 생각이 났다. ㅋㅋ

This angle reminded of our picture from 2015.

벌써 2년 전이라니~

그땐 이스타 비자 3개월로 머문 거라 하루하루 지날 때마다 떠날 생각에 엄청 슬퍼지고 그랬는데

그래서 인지 그 때 사진을 보기만 해도 슬퍼진다 ㅋㅋ

I can't believe that this picture was taken TWO YEARS ago.

At that time i was staying in the US with visa waver, so I got sad every day thinking about how many days left till I had to leave.

So when I look at old pictures, they make me sad.

이젠 여기서 남편이랑 계속 살 수 있어서 비자 걱정도 없고

시댁 가족들이랑 너무 편안하게 구경할 수 있어서 정말 좋았다.

But now I don't have to worry about leaving Skylar anymore.

It was good to go to the Falls with his family.

정말 예쁜 노칼룰라 폭포 분수 'ㅅ'

Their fountain is beautiful.

시아빠가 옛날 세탁기도 보여주셨는데 신기했다.

My father in law showed me an old washer. it was interesting.

떠날 때 급 현금을 주우신 시아빠 모습 ㅋㅋ

When we left, he picked up some cash on the ground. How lucky! lol.
