일박이일로 조지아 주의 애틀랜타와 한인타운인 둘루스 여행을 다녀왔다. 다운타운과 둘루스가는 길에 위치해 있던 애틀랜타 메리어트 호텔에 대해 포스팅하고자 한다. 우린 미리 알아보고 예약해둔 덕분에 택스를 제외하고 99불로 주말 저녁을 보낼 수 있었다. 우리가 도착했을 때 로비에서 어떤 부부가 당일 숙박을 하려고 직원에게 가격을 물어보니 200불이 넘게 안내를 받았다. 역시 호텔은 미리 미리 예약을 해둬야하는 걸 또 깨달았다. 

We went to a trip to Atlanta and Duluth for 2 days. We stayed at this Mariott hotel between Atlanta and Duluth. We were able to spend a weekend night at a marriott hotel only for 99$ before tax. When we got to the lobby, there was a couple trying to make a reservation at site. They got informed that the cost for the night was more than $220. We were glad to make a reservation ahead of time.

예약을 하기 전에 구글 리뷰를 통해 로비가 공사 중이라는 것을 알고 있었다. 그래서 임시로 다른 입구를 통해 들어가도록 되어 있었고 로비도 어수선한 모습이었지만 우리가 갔을 때 소음이라던지 그런 건 전혀 없었다.

We were aware that the lobby was under construction through google reviews. We had to walk through a temporary entrance and the lobby didn't look perfectly organized. But we didn't have any issues with it.

메리어트 호텔 공식 홈페이지를 통해 예약을 하면 방에 대한 개인적인 선택사항을 고를 수 있는데 우린 고층을 원한다고 해서 14층에 있는 방으로 배정받았다. 꼭대기인 15층에서 바로 한층 아래였다.

We could select some features about our room when we booked the hotel through their official website. We selected a room on a high floor. So we were assigned to a room on the 14 floor which was one floor lower than the top floor.

메리어트 호텔은 늘 보통 이상은 한다는 믿음이 있다. 이 메리어트 호텔은 특히 최근에 리모델링을 한 곳 같았다.

Marriott hotels never let us down. This Marriott seemed to have had a remodeling recently.

입구에서 오른쪽 편에는 작은 화장실이 있었다. 특이했던 것은 보통의 미국 호텔에서는 부가적인 샤워기가 없는데 이곳에는 벽에 걸린 샤워헤드 & 추가적인 샤워기가 하나 더 있어서 아주 편리했다.

The bathroom was right after the door. It had a fixed shower head to the wall and additional shower hose. It came in handy.

입구에서 왼쪽에는 작은 냉장고가 비치되어 있었는데 어찌나 소음이 크던지 소음에 민감한 스카일러는 바로 꺼버렸다. ㅋㅋ

There was a mini refrigerator and it was making super loud noises. Skylar is sensitive to noises. He turned it off right away.

그리고 창을 통해 고속도로를 내려다 볼 수 있다. 그 말인 즉슨 저녁이 되면 특히 오토바이 달리는 소음이 무지하게 커진다는 것. 밤에는 공기가 울려퍼져서 고층일 경우에는 더 잘 들리게 되는 건지 모르겠지만, 다음에 이 호텔에 묵게 된다면 수영장이 있는 반대편 쪽으로 묵고 싶다.

This hotel is located next to an interstate. When we tried to go to bed, motorcycles made loud noises. If we had a chance to stay here again, I would get a room on the other side of this hotel where their swimming pool is.

소소한 장점이 있다면 전등이 곳곳에 많았다. 침대 헤드에도 작은 독서등이 있어서 언제든 편리하게 껐다 켰다를 할 수 있었다.

There were many lamps, there was mini ones even on the bed head. I could turn it off and on easily.

가격에 비해 안전하고 괜찮은 위치에 있었지만 소음에 민감하다면 다른 곳을 추천한다.

This hotel was not bad for the price. But if you are sensitive to noises, I would recommend you staying somewhere else.
