바다와 멀리 떨어진 알라바마에서도 자주 즐기는 생선이 있다면 그건 바로 캣피쉬, 메기다. 앨라배마 주 건터스빌에는 로컬 맛집으로 유명한 탑 오 더 리버라는 캣피쉬 전문점이 있는데 시부모님께서 같이 가자고 하셔서 드디어 방문하게 된 곳이다.

There are some fish Alabama people enjoy. One of them is catfish. There is a catfish place that is popular with locals. It's Top O' The River. My parents in law suggested checking this place out.

이 곳은 일요일을 제외하고 저녁시간에만 운영하는데도 사람이 엄청 붐비는 진짜 맛집이라고 한다. 그래서 오픈하는 5시에 맞춰 도착했는데도 사람이 꽤 있었다.

This restaurant opens during only dinner time except Sunday. It was already crowded when we got there around 5 p.m. when they just opened.

나랑 스카일러는 이 근처 케이준 로컬 맛집인 파파두비에서 캣피쉬를 먹어보곤 안좋아하게 되어서 캣피쉬 전문점인 이곳에서 쉬림프 스캠피를 시켰다. ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

We were too afraid to eat catfish since we did at Papa dubi's. It wasn't really good. So we ordered shrimp scampi dinner at this Catfish place lol.

창가 테이블에 앉아서 건터스빌 호수를 볼 수도 있었는데 너무 밝아서 살짝만 보고 블라인드 다시 덮었다. ㅋㅋ

I could look at Guntersville lake through the window. It was too sunny. I put the blinds back on lol

시부모님이 주문한 에피타이저 4종, 코울슬로, 콘브레드, 순무잎이랑 양파절임도 함께 나눠 먹었다.

My in laws ordered some appetizers. We shared the food. My favorite was their coleslaw!

쉬림프 스캠피도 정말 맛있었는데 시아빠가 먹어보라고 건넨 캣피쉬가 진짜 맛있었다. 바로 음식해서 뜨거웠지만 비린맛 하나 없이 정말 맛있는 튀긴 캣피쉬여서 다음에 오면 시켜먹어보려고 한다.

Our dish was good. My father in law asked me to try their fried catfish. It was really good catfish. It was very hot but it didn't have any nasty fishy taste. I will get fried catfish here next time.

저녁을 먹고 식당 뒷문을 통해 건터스빌 호수를 보러 나왔다.

After dinner, we walked out through their backdoor to see the lake.

석양이 지는 모습이 정말 멋졌는데 저 갑판 위에 오리 똥들이 널려있어서 더 다가가지는 않았다. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

The sunset looked pretty but there was duck poop everywhere on the pier. So I didn't go any further.
