실내정원

다음 날 아침 개리로드 오프리랜드 호텔에서 유명한 실내정원을 한바퀴 돌아보기로 했다. 막 개장시간이 되었는지 사운드웨이브에도 긴 줄이 있었다. 스카일러는 당장이라도 저 줄에 합류하고 싶은 눈치였다. 

Next morning, we checked out the indoor door that Gaylord Opryland is famous for. It looked like Soundwaves were just open by the way they got the long line to get in.

사운드 웨이브 옆에 기념품 가게가 있어 들리려고 갔는데 미국 남부 여자에 대한 문구를 발견했다. 첫번째 문구가 시엄마를 떠올르게 했다. 스윗티를 무척 좋아하시기 때문 

There was a small souvenir shop right next to Soundwaves entrance. I spotted this quote about a southern lady. The first sentence reminded of my mother in law who loves sweet tea.

기념품 샵에 들어가 고른 물건은 바로바로 자석. 테네시 자석은 이미 있긴 하지만 여기 온 기념으로 다른 종류의 마그넷을 사고 싶었는데 마침 라이센스 플레이트 같은 자석이 있어서 하나 구매했다.

The reason why we went into the shop was to buy a magnet. I did have Nashville magnets but I wanted another one to memorize our anniversary. I found this cute license plate looking one.

스타벅스에 들러 아침 커피를 하나 하고 천천히 정원을 둘러보기 시작했다.

We stopped by Starbucks to get a coffee and started looking around the garden.

삼년 전 우리가 왔을 때와 많이 다르지 않은 모습. 그래도 여전히 예쁘고 잘 정돈된 정원이다.

It wasn't very different from 3 years ago when we first came here. It was still a beautiful garden.

작은 연못에 잉어? 금붕어?들도 발견하고,

We found little koi fish in this pond.

신기했던 건 나무를 화분삼아 자라나는 난초 꽃들

It was interesting to see orchids growing around trees.

처음 이 곳에 왔을 때처럼 여전히 눈을 사로잡은 돔 모양의 정원

Just like our first time here, this gazebo caught our eye.

곳곳에 설치된 인공폭포들도 눈도장 찍어줬다.

And we checked all little water falls.

벨라를 들이기 오래 전에 예약했던 차라 예약 당시만 해도 애완동물 동반 가능인지 신경쓰지 않았었는데 막상 결혼기념일이 다되어 하루밤 벨라를 혼자 두려니 게리로드 오프리랜드 호텔이 펫프랜들리가 아닌게 못내 참 아쉬웠다. 그래서 이 포인세티아를 봤을 때, 왜 애완동물 동반이 아닌지 납득할 수 있었던게 분명 이 실내정원에는 포인세티아처럼 개나 고양이에게 독성 식물이 많이 심어져있을 수도 있어서 애완동물 동반가능 호텔로 만들려면 이 실내정원을 문닫아야할지도 모를 일이기 때문이다.

When we booked this hotel, it was before we got Bella. So I didn't care if that was pet-friendly. And when our anniversary was coming soon, I started worrying about leaving Bella alone all night for the first time and wishing this hotel was pet-friendly. When I spotted these poinsettias, I realized why this hotel wasn't pet-friendly. Because I am sure there will be more plants like poinsettia toxic to either dogs or cats and eventually they wouldn't have many plants in the garden considering pets safety eventually lol.

there was a building named The Library with a pond.

마지막에 이 곳 포토스팟에 들려 사진 몇장 찍고는 바로 옆문을 통해 우리 호텔룸이 위치한 매그놀리아 홀로 들어가 짐을 쌌다.

And we came to this perfect place for photoshoot and took some pictures. We went back to our room to take our luggage to check out through a side door here.

우리의 2주년 결혼기념일 여행도 이렇게 마무리 되어 우리를 기다리는 벨라에게 돌아갔다. 기온이 다른 날보다 훨씬 높아서 2월이라곤 믿기 어렵게 따뜻하고 포근했던 날씨 덕분에 더 좋은 여행으로 기억에 남을 것 같다.

Our 2nd anniversary trip ended and went back to our lil girl Bella. The temperature was higher than normal and the weather wasn't like February's. It was a perfect weather for a trip and we will remember this trip was good.

이 결혼기념일 1박 2일 여행으로 깨달은 건 우린 더 이상 2인 가족이 아니란 사실이다. 그렇게 집을 떠나 여행하기를 좋아하던 우리였는데, 집에서 오매불망 우릴 기다릴 벨라를 생각하니 한시라도 빨리 집으로 발걸음을 재촉하던 우리 가족은 이제 어엿한 3인(?) 가족이다.

What we realize from this trip is that we are not any longer a family of 2. We loved to spend nights away from home, now we are worried about Bella being alone and it makes us go back home as soon as possible. Now we are a family of three!
