3N4D New York Trip Prologue

3박4일 뉴욕여행기 프롤로그

남편이 쌓아둔 마일리지로 뉴욕행 비행 티켓을 예매할 수 있었다. (마일리지 찬스*0*)

버밍햄에서 뉴욕까지 직항으로 대략 한시간 반이 소요된다.

새벽에 일어나서 버밍햄 공항까지 운전했다.

We booked flight tickets with Miles accumulated by my husband.

It takes only one and a half hours to New York from Birmingham.

We woke up early in the morning and headed to Birmingham Airport.

버밍햄 공항 데일리 파킹랏이 있어서 여기에 주차하면 하루별로 요금이 후불로 부과된다.

4일 주차로 48불이 청구되었다.

This is a daily parking lot.

It charges you per a day.

It costed 48$ for four days.

기내용 캐리어와 백팩 하나로 조촐하게 시작한 우리 여행 *_*

뉴욕여행을 얼마나 고대해왔던지 그 전날 잠을 잘 수가 없었다.

I was too excited to sleep the day before the trip.

We only took one carry-on suitcase and a backpack.

뉴욕행 델타 직항 6시 15분에 출발했다.

이날 뉴욕에 비가 많이 와서 결항된 항공편이 많다고 들었는데,

우리는 운 좋게도 비가 많이 오기 전에 뉴욕에 도착할 수 있어서 정말 행운이었다.

It was a delta direct flight at 6:15 AM.

I heard the weather in New York was so bad that many flights were delayed or canceled.

We were so lucky to leave for New York before the weather got worse.

앨라배마 버밍햄 공항에도 비가 추적추적 내리기 시작했다.

It started to rain in Birmingham too.

비행할 때마다 구름을 내려다 보이는 뷰는 항상 좋다.

I always love the view from over the clouds.

뉴욕에 가까워지자 빗줄기가 창문을 타고 흩날린다.

The closer the plane got the more water drops drizzled on the window.

라과디아공항은 국내선 비행이 대부분이라 비행기들도 크기가 작다.

비행기들 다 생선같이 보인다. ㅎ

날씨가 꽤나 꾸리꾸리 했었다.

Laguardia airport is for domestic flights.

So the planes are smaller.

The whether didn't look great.

우리는 라과디아 공항 터미널 C로 도착했는데,

MTA라고 뉴욕 지하철 7일 무제한권을 끊어야 했다.

We arrived at Laguardia Terminal C.

We needed an unlimited metro card.

기계가 어디에 있는지 몰라서 한참 헤매다 직원분께 여쭤보니 

버스승강장이 아니라 공항 내부에 있었던 것.

We didn't know where the machine was.

We had to ask this lady and where the machine was.

We only looked for it outside of the airport and by the bus stop.

That was in the airport.

언어 선택하고 카드 넣고 7일권 2장 구매해서 총 66달러 들었다.

You choose language,select which pass you want and insert your credit card.

Pretty simple.

It took 66 dollars for 2 tickets.

MTA로 뉴욕에서 버스, 지하철을 모두 다 탑승할 수 있는데

우리는 렉싱턴가에 위치한 르네상스 호텔에 가기 위해서 Q70 버스를 타야했다.

You can use this for 7 days for bus and subway in New York.

We were supposed to take Q70 bus to the hotel.

버스 승강장 옆에 기계들이 있는데 Metro card를 넣으면 버스 승차권이 나온다.

그걸 들고 버스에 탑승하면 된다.

There were some machines by the bus stop.

You put your metro card and get a ticket for airport buses.

공항 버스는 10분 이내로 금방금방 온다.

사실 이날 비가 많이 쏟아져서인지는 모르겠지만,

우리는 MTA 카드만 발급받고 버스승차권을 구매해야하는지 몰랐다. 

대부분의 버스 기사님들이 체크를 하지 않는 것 같았다.

MTA카드만 있으면 버스 승차권도 무료로 탑승할 수 있어서 그런가보다.

Wait for the bus was short. about 10 minutes?

We didn't know that we were supposed to get the bus ticket with MTA card.

The bus driver didn't even check tickets.

Maybe it was because there were so many people and it was raining a lot.

or you can go anywhere with MTA card 

so basically if you have a MTA card that means you have the bus ticket too. lol.

Q70버스를 타고 17분정도 달리면 루즈벨트 애비뉴 지하철역에서 하차할 수 있다.

You can get off at Roosvelt Ave Station after 17 minutes of riding.

여기서 바로 환승할 수 있어서 지하철로 뉴욕 중심부까지 도착할 수 있었다.

We transferred to the subway at the station to Manhattan.

여기가 렉싱턴역인데 많은 사람들이 하차해서 에스컬레이터가 매우 북적였다.

내 앞에 있던 커플이 그냥 계단으로 가자! 하길래 나도 그냥 따라갔는데

그 계단이 진짜 너무너무너무너무 길었다.

 As soon as we got off the subway,

There was a long line for the escalator.

The couple in front of me said "Let's just take the stairs"

and I just followed them.

But..

The stairs were super super long.

그래서 남편은 나때문에 저 캐리어를 들고 거의 3층 깊이의 계단을 올라야 했다.

(이후 매우 짜증난 남편 ㅡ,ㅡ)

절대로 계단으로 올라가지 마세요...-_-;

My husbad was waiting in the line and he just followed me.

He had to carry the carry-on all the way up.

He got so so so grumpy =_=

Do not take stairs at Lexionton Ave station.

렉싱턴 에비뉴에 도착하니 비가 많이 쏟아졌다.

우산 두개를 챙겨갔는데 번잡스러워서 캐리어에서 하나만 꺼냈다.

It was raining a lot at Lexionton Ave.

We brought two umbrellas and I just took out only one from the carry-on.

지하철 역 천장이 유리여서 비가 와도 운치있게 보였다.

The station's ceiling was glass.

It looked cool.

우리의 뉴욕 첫인상. 비가 엄청 온다.

This is our first impression of New York :D

거대한 빌딩 숲 뉴욕.

발걸음을 재촉하여 르네상스 호텔로 향했다.

Concrete Jungle *_*

We hurried to the hotel in the rain.
