8월 미국 일상

더트칩에서 산 조개모양 비누방울.

한밤 중에 뒷마당에서 비누방울 불기

I bought the clam-shaped bubble at Dirtcheap.

I blew bubbles in the middle of the evening : )

내 텃밭에 찾아온 아기 청개구리 삼총사.

어렸을 때 제외하고, 요즘 한국에서 청개구리 보는 건 정말 어려운 일이다.

특히 고추잎이랑 깻잎에 앉아있는 걸 좋아하는 듯 했다.

일주일 내내 찾아오더니 한동안 보이지 않다가 얼마전 청소년(?)이 되어 다시 돌아온 청개구리들

Three baby frogs came to my garden.

I hadn't seen green frogs for a long time besides in my childhood.

They seemed to like sitting on sesame seed and pepper leaves.

They kept visiting for whole week and disappeared.

Now they are back!! they look like minors now.

죽었나 걱정했었는데 세마리 모두 아직 잘 살아있었다.

성장하는 모습을 지켜보니 뿌듯한 마음이 들기까지 했다.

I was worried if they were dead.

I felt proud watching them growing ('_'a

 

얼마 전 아빠 생일이었는데 머나 먼 미국에서 뭘 선물해줄까 고민하다가

넥타이를 받고 싶어했던 아빠가 기억이 났다.

인터넷을 하루종일 들여다보다가 아빠가 좋아할만한 넥타이 두개를 골랐다.

이제 미국에 산 지 9개월이 다 되어가는데 한국도 그립고 가족들도 보고싶다.

아직 일년도 안되었는데 향수병이 오는 것 같기도 하고, 요즘 부쩍 우울하다.

It was my father's birthday a couple of days ago.

I didn't know what to give him and then I remembered that he wanted ties.

I looked for good ties online for all day and picked these two ties that he might like.

It has almost been 9 months since I moved here.

I miss my country and my family so much.

Maybe I am getting homesick that's why I am so depressed lately.

얼마 전 갔던 파나마시티비치.

벌써 그립다. '-'

시엄마가 먹어보라고 사준 체리쥬스. 음~ 뭔가 미국맛..

애플파이도 완전 크다.

We went to Sam's club with my parents in law.

My mother in law got me this cherry juice.

The apple pie is huge ..

이번엔 시부모님과 함께 방문한 Viet Cuisine. 

처음 방문했을 땐 진짜 맛있었는데 두번째 방문 때는 그저 그랬던... 배가 덜고팠나?

This time we visited Viet Cuisine with my parents in law.

Their food was so good at the first visit. It was so-so this time. Was I not hungry enough?

컬비 처음 만나는 날.

내 성격 상, 새로운 사람 만날 때마다 너무 떨린다. ㅠㅠ

Meeting Kirby for the first time.

I always get so nervous when I meet new people..... 

시아빠, 시동생과 같이 볼링치러 간 날.

화요일 수요일이 아마 프로모션 하는 날이었나? 그래서 완전 저렴하게 볼링치고 왔다.

오랜만에 볼링쳐서 재밌었다.

My father in law, Caissdy and me went to do bowling.

They offer discounts on Tues, Weds.

The price was reasonable. (Terry paid though.^^; Thanks!!!)

I had so much fun.

우리 동네에 있는 중국식 뷔폐 차우킹.

스카일러는 시도도 안해보고 더러울거라고 안간다고 고집피우다가

내가 결국 설득해서 같이 갔다.

그러더니 되레 자주 오자고 하기까지..

Skylar wouldn't go but assuming it must be nasty -_-.

I finally convinced him to go there.

And he found it not bad, and want to go back.

혼인신고한 지 6개월 지난 날,

스카일러가 사온 꽃다발과 내가 제일 좋아하는 레드벨벳 컵케익까지.

6 months of married life.

My husband bought flowers, and my favorite red velvet cupcake.

괜히 감동받아서 눈물이 주륵~~

It was so moving that I cried '-' 

시엄마가 시도해보라고 했던 매운 맛 소세지들.

별로 안매운데? 라고 생각했다가 30분 후 속이 급 쓰리기 시작;;;

Cintha told Skylar to get these sausages so I can try them.

I thought 'hmm. they were not very spicy.' at first. In 30 mins, I got a stomachache. ;; 

더트칩에서 완전 싸게 주고 사온 화장실 선반이다.

스카일러가 찍은 남대문 사진을 액자에 넣어 놓으니 뭔가 그럴싸함.

We bought this shelve at Dirtcheap at a very cheap price.

I put the picture of Nam-Dae-Moon in the frame. It looks good.

가끔 사먹는 뉴차이나 제너럴소스 치킨.

사진을 보고 있자니 또 배고파진다....!!!

We sometimes get this general sauce chicken at New China.

Looking at this photo makes me hungry.
