개틀린버그 다운타운 숙소 후기

다행이 내려가는 길은 좀전과는 다르게 뻥뻥 뚫렸다.

There wasn't traffic on the way down from Clingmans dome unlikely before.

무슨 성벽 같은 곳이 있었는데 피곤해서 그냥 지나쳤다. ㅠㅠ

This fort looked interesting, but I was too tired to stop by.

터널을 지나자 갑자기 밀리기 시작하더니 이 줄이 개틀린버그까지 이어지는 정체였다;

정말 가까운 거리를 1시간 넘게 느릿느릿 움직였다.

Traffic jam started as we passed a tunnel all the way to Gatlinburg.

The distance was very short, but we moved very slowly.

그리하여 개틀린버그에 도착하자 깜깜한 밤이 되어있었다.

기나긴 정체 때문에 나는 차 안에서 저녁을 떼웠다.

By the time we got to Gatlinburg, it was almost 8 pm.

I ate the potato salad for dinner in the car.

트롤리도 보이고 유명 관광도시 개틀린버그에는 길거리마다 사람들이 북적였다.

오랜만에 보는 인파에 나도 같이 들썩이게 되었다 +_+

We saw a trolley and there were so many people on the streets at night in this touristic city.

I got excited too.

호텔 근처에는 스페이스니들이라고 야경 전망대가 있었다.

이 곳도 갈까 생각했지만 개틀린버그에서 뭔가를 한다는 건 정말 비싸서 다음으로 미뤄야만 했다.

이번 당일치기 여행에서는 스모키 국립공원을 보는 데에도 시간이 부족했기 때문에!

Space needle was located close to our hotel.

We were thinking about going to the tower but it was too expensive.

Everything is expensive in Gatlinburg.

Also, we didn't have enough time even to look around the mountains.

개틀린버그에서는 주차가 또 하나의 걱정거리인데

개틀린버그 숙소를 잡으면 주차 걱정이 사라져서 너무 좋았다.

우린 호텔 앞 주차장에 바로 주차를 하고 체크인을 했다.

One of the concerns going to Gatlinburg is parking.

You are guaranteed to have one parking spot if you stay in Gatlinburg.

We parked in front of our hotel and checked in.

보통 숙박 가격이나 이미 예약시기를 놓친 사람들은 개틀린근교 피죤포지에서 묶기도 하는데

그러면 개틀린버그 시내 유료 주차장에 차를 대야한다.

또 피죤포지에서 개틀린버그로 오는 교통 정체도 감수해야 한다는 사실.

Some people don't want to spend too much on an accommodation in Gatlinburg, they stay in Pigeon forge.

Then you have to pay to park in Garlinburg.

Also there is so much traffic between Pigeon forge and Gatlinburg.

우리의 숙소는 개틀린버그 시내와 아주 아주 가까운 이코노랏지로 잡았다.

무려 두달 전에 예약했음에도 불구하고 성수기인 탓에 괜찮은 호텔은 이미 만실이었는데다가

좀 값싸단 모텔들은 더럽다는 후기가 많았고, 보통의 숙소는 대게 2일치 숙박이 필수였다.

1박인 우리에게 선택권은 매우 좁았던 셈 ㅠㅠ

We booked this hotel which was very close to downtown Gatlinburg.

Even though we booked it 2 months ahead,

because of the peak season either decent hotels were all booked or

cheap motels had reviews that they were dirty.

Some Inns required 2 nights.

So we didn't have many options.

고르고 골라 겨우 예약한 이코노랏지는 보통 때라면 고려하지 않았을 급의 모텔이었지만,

후기를 살펴보니 깨끗하다는 평이 많았고 (나에게 호텔 청결은 아주 중요함)

다운타운과 아주 가깝지만 또 도로 바로 옆은 아니라 소음은 없는, 위치가 아주 좋았다.

We would never consider this class of accommodation normally,

I read all the reviews, and they said this motel was clean at least.

The location was super close to downtown but it wasn't loud.

우리가 배정 받은 방은 2층이었다.

Our room was on the second floor.

지붕이 높은 건물이라 층고가 높았다.

The ceiling was so high.

냉장고에 우리가 가져온 생수와 먹을 거리를 채워넣었다.

I filled the fridge with our waters and food.

세면대와 변기/욕조가 구별이 되어있는 점이 맘에 들었다.

I liked it that toilet and bathtub was separated from the sink.

화장실은 엄청 깨끗하진 않았지만 그렇다고 못견딜 수준은 아니었음

The bathroom was not very clean but it wasn't too dirty.

Peeking from the window.

역시 성수기엔 모든 숙박시설이 비싸진다지만 하루에 160불 내고 묶기엔 비싼 감은 있었다.

평소 숙박비용의 3배라니.. ㅠㅠ

그래도 위치가 너무 좋아서 만족했던 숙소 이코노랏지.

Still 160 dollars for one night there was pricey.

It's 3 times the normal price.

But we were satisfied with the location.
