개틀린버그 브런치 맛집 / 미국 테네시 노스캐롤라이나 여행

더빌리지 구경을 마치고 길가를 걷다가 우연히 발견한 마켓플레이스라는 곳

After looking around The Village, we ran into this place named Market Place.

아직 이른 시간이라 문을 연 상점들은 없었지만,

None of the shops were open that early,

그래도 여기 저기 구경하는 재미

We still had fun looking around and walking through the place.

마켓플레이스 길을 쭉 따라가다보니 뭔가를 발견한 남편

Skylar found something at the end of the place.

그곳엔 개울가를 낀 숙소가 있었고 오리들이 분주하게 먹이를 찾아 헤엄치고 있었다.

There were Inns along the stream and ducks feeding themselves.

숙소를 끼고 있는 개울들은 많이 오염된 편이라던데 겉보기에는 정말 맑아보이기만 한다.

I heard streams by accommodations tend to be polluted in Gatlinburg,

but this one looked fine to me.

산책로일 줄 알았는데 아니라서 다시 같은 계단으로 돌아가야 했다.

We thought the path would be connected to other stairs but it was not.

So we came back to the same stairs.

브런치 식당으로 가다가 우연히 만난 귀신의 집(?)

산 앞에 있어서 그런지 더 으스스해보인다.

We saw this mysterious mansion on the way to the brunch restaurant.

It looked more spooky and haunted surrounded trees.

아침 9시 반인데 브런치 식당이라 그런지 줄이 길게 서있었다.

It was only at 9:30 but there was a long waiting line.

다행이 입구 앞에서 이름을 말하면 문자로 테이블이 준비됐다고 알려준다.

한 30분 정도 기다렸더니 문자를 받아서 들어가게 된 크로켓 브랙퍼스트 캠프

We could put our name on the waiting list.

They text you when your table is ready.

After 30 minutes, we got a text from them.

입구부터 오두막에 온 듯한 느낌.

세련된 인테리어에 우리 둘 다 놀랐다.

The restaurant was like we walked into a big cabin.

We got surprised by the nice interior.

신문지처럼 생겼는데 펼쳐보면 메뉴판이다.

우리가 주문한 건 The black bear camp skillet이었는데 여러가지 메뉴를 먹어볼 수 있어서 딱이었다.

The menu looked like a newspaper.

We ordered -The black bear camp skillet- so we could try many different menu.

인테리어가 너무 맘에 들었다.

그리고 뭔가 여유롭게 아침 식사를 하는 사람들과 제때 제때 음식을 가져다 주는 주방장님들도 프로같았다.

I really liked the interior and the atmosphere.

People enjoyed nice breakfast and professional chefs, kind servers served food on time. 

스카일러가 고르고 고른 맛집이었는데 사실 관광도시에서 맛집을 기대하기란 어려웠다.

그런데 이 곳은 우리 둘다 가격, 맛, 친철도 모두 맘에 들었다.

Skylar picked this restaurant.

Actually, I didn't expect any restaurant in a touristic city like this to be great.

But this restaurant was really good in every way.

커피를 주문한 남편. 리필해줄 지 몰랐는데 서버분이 계속 체크하면서 더 부어주셨다.

My husband ordered a hot coffee, the server kept checking on it and refilled it.

그리하여 나온 The black bear camp skillet !!

스콘, 스크램블, 계란후라이, 그릿, 그래비, 햄, 베이컨 그리고 엄청 큰 팬케이크까지 +_+

This is our dish.

Scone, scrambled egg, fried egg, grits, gravy, ham, bacon and a giant pancake.

팬케이크까지 나오는 지 몰랐던 우리는 또 한번 음식 양에 놀랐다.

나는 팬케이크를 엄청 좋아하는 편은 아니라서 남편 다 먹으라고 그랬다. ㅋㅋ

None of us knew it comes with a pancake. :)

I don't like pancakes very much so it was all for him.

관광지 맛집이 아니었더라도 이 정도면 적어도 20달러 이상은 받아야 한다고 생각했던 우리.

Even if it was not in Gatlinburg, we thought this amount dish should deserve more than 20 dollars.

내 접시.

아 저 소세지 맛있었다.

그리고 그래비라는 것 처음 먹어봤는데 마음에 들었다.

This is my plate. I liked the sausage.

Also It was my first time to try gravy and I really liked it.

엄청나게 흡족한 스카일러 모습 :)

그리고 서버분이 엄청 엄청 친절하셔서 평소보다 더 많이 팁도 드렸다.

아침도 든든히 먹고 좋은 추억도 만들고 간 진정한 개틀린버그 맛집, Crockett's Breakfast Camp.
