미국 몽고메리 낙원떡집 한국 빙수 Korean Dessert Bingsu in Montgomery

미국 알라바마 주 　몽고메리 낙원떡집 　인절미 빙수 　 Korean Dessert 'Bingsu' in Montgomery

몽고메리 박승철헤어스튜디오에서 머리를 자르고 바로 근처에 있는 낙원떡집에서 후식으로 빙수를 먹기로 했다.

저 가운데에 빈 공간에 H mart가 들어온다는 플랜카드가 걸려있었는데 오래전부터 그런 말만 있었고 아직도 안들어왔다고 하셨다.

I got a hair cut at PSC Hair Salon (the leftest left shop in the picture) and we headed to Nak Won Sweet Rice Cake Cafe to eat Bing Su.

저기 오른쪽에 조그만 녹색 간판이 바로 몽고메리 낙원떡집이다. 애틀랜타 둘루스에도 낙원떡집이 있는데 가족분들이 같이 운영하시는 곳이라고 들었다. 그래서 떡 맛도 아주 좋다고 한다.

The green colored sign is the Bing Su place! They have a rice cake store in Duluth, Atlanta too. I heard their family is running this Montgomery one a nd their rice cakes are so good!!

이건 사람들이 많이 빠지고 난 뒤에야 찍은 사진인데 저 가게 통째로 사람들이 북적북적했다. 우리가 도착했을 때는 앉을 자리가 없었을 정도였다. 교회 예배 마치고 모든 신도들이 와 계신 것 같았다.

I took this picture after a lot of people left. All of the seats were taken when we got there. I think they came after church.

떡들이 종류별로 진열되어 있었는데 가격표가 따로 있지 않았다. 아마 종류 상관없이 원하는 갯수를 골라담으면 그 갯수대로 가격이 붙는 것 같았는데 잘 모르겠다. ㅋㅋ 아무튼 남편이 꼭 인절미는 먹어봤으면 좋겠다 싶었었다. 그래서 나중을 기약했었는데, 팥빙수를 주문하니 친절하신 사장님께서 혹시 남편이 팥을 좋아하냐고 넌지시 물어보셨다. 그래서 우리 둘다 팥은 별로 안좋아한다 했더니 그럼 팥을 따로 담아드릴까요 하시길래 좋다고 했다. 남편도 따로 나눠 담아주셔서 좋아했다. 

Each rice cake was displayed separately, I wanted Skylar to try In-Jeol-Mi (one of rice cake kind) When we ordered a red bean bing su, the owner asked us if we like red beans. I answered not really. She asked if we want red beans to be served in a different bowl. I said yes, please!! :D

사장님이 팥빙수의 팥 별로 안좋아하면 인절미 빙수는 어떠냐고 해서 고민하다가 그렇게 해달라고 했다. 사장님이 추천한데에는 이유가 있지 않을까 싶어서. 아니나 다를까 스카일러는 처음 인절미를 먹어봤는데 좋아했다. 씨리얼이랑 아몬드가 들어가 있어서 좀 더 달콤하고 고소한 맛이 났다. 스카일러가 왜 사장님이 이 빙수를 추천한 지 알 것 같다고 했다. ㅋㅋ 그렇지만 여전히 본인은 과일빙수가 더 좋다고 함

The owner asked us if we don't like red beans very much, how about trying a In-Jeol-Mi Bing su! I was hesitating to get it but eventually ordered it because I thought there must have been a reason that she recommend it to us. And she was right! Skylar liked this bing su. It tastes more nutty and familiar to him since there is cereal and peanut butter in it. (I didn't know peanut butter would be in the bing su though.) Skylar thought this bing su would be more popular with westerners. But he still liked the fruity bing su that we ate at Paris Baguette in Duluth.

팥을 이렇게 나눠 주셨는데 우리 둘다 엄청 팥을 좋아하는 게 아니라서 많이 남겼다.

She kindly put red beans in a different bowl, we don't like them very much so we left most of them.

여름에 시원한 후식으로는 역시 빙수가 최고 *_* 남편은 빙수 먹다가 머리 아프다고 했다. ㅋㅋ 그러면서도 다 먹음

Bing su is the best dessert for summer! He got a brain freeze eating the binsu lol. But he finished it!!
