8월 일상 Life in Alabama in Aug.
1. Mowing
남편은 [우리]라는 말을 참 좋아한다. 항상 [우리집], [우리 Yard]라고 부르면서 집주인이 되었으니 잔디 깍는 의무도 다 해야한다며 그 넓은 뒷마당을 돌아다니며 참 열심히도 잔디를 깍았다. 시부모님께서 잔디 깍는 기계를 이번 여름동안 쓰라고 친절하게 빌려주셨다. 지금은 잔디 깍는 성수기이기 때문에 잔디기계가 비싸지만, 블랙프라이데이나 잔디 비시즌(?)인 가을/겨울에 좀 더 저렴하게 구매할 수 있다.
One of Skylar's favorite Korean words is Woo-Li. (meaning us, ours, we...) He always calls our house Woo-Li Jib (Jib : home), Woo-Li Yard. He seemed proud of himself as homeowner. He was excited to mow the yards. His parents let us borrow their lawnmower for this summer. We could buy a lawnmower around Black Friday or after summer much cheaper.
2. Adidas Ultra Boost
스카일러는 근 몇달동안 아디다스 울트라부스트를 갖고 싶다고 말해왔다. 내가 사라고 사라고 해도 너무 비싸다며 자긴 그럴 자격이 없다며 ㅜㅜ ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 자꾸 그러길래, 안그래도 곧 생일이니 내가 새로 발급받은 ^^ 신카로 긁으라고 시켰더니 날름 주문했다. 흰색 살까 어두운 색 살까 또 한동안 고민하길래 그냥 흰색 사라고 설득했다. 그렇게 해서 받은 아디다스 울트라부스트.
Skylar had wanted Ultra Boost for a couple of months. I kept telling him to buy them and he didn't think he deserved them. Since I got a new credit card, I told him to buy the shoes with it for his birthday. He was being indecisive which color to get. I convinced him to get white shoes.
미국 아디다스 공홈에서 시켰고, 택스까지 포함해서 190달러 넘게 주고 샀다. 스카일러는 평발인데다가 기존 운동화가 많이 낡아서 좋은 걸 사주고 싶었는데 이렇게 맘에 들어하니 뿌듯했다. 운동화 밑창이 타이어 만드는 재질이랑 똑같다나.
He ordered them from Adidas official website. It was more than $190 after tax. His feet are flat and his old shoes were so old and worn, I wanted to get him nice sneakers. I'm glad he loves his new shoes! He said the soles are the same material as tires..?

He danced in new shoes for a minute lol.
3. Sunset House
우리 집은 노을 지는 뷰가 정말 예술이다. 너무 너무 예쁨~~
We love to watch sunset at home. It is beautiful.
4. Fish & Chips
스카일러는 훨씬 넓어진 주방에서 요리할 생각에 너무 행복해했는데 그의 첫 요리(?)는 바로 대구살 튀김과 감자튀김. 파나마시티비치 Eat my pastry에서 주문했던 피쉬앤칩스를 따라해보겠다고 유투브 동영상을 몇개 보다가 결국 해냈다. 본인이 먹어본 저녁 요리로 최고였다며
My husband was tickled to cook in our new and bigger kitchen. His first cooking was fried cod and fries. He wanted to cook them like Eat my pastry's fish and chips at Panama City Beach. He watched videos on Youtube and he looooooooved his food.
5. New Sofa
마지막은 스카일러 방 & 엔터테인먼트 룸을 위해 새로 산 소파. 까다로운 스카일러가 리뷰를 열심히 보고 고른 소파인데 푹신하고 넓어서 티비 보기에 안성 맞춤!
This is our new couch for the entertainment room. Skylar looked at reviews for a long long time and picked this one. It's perfect to watch TV sitting there.
6. Sweet Home
정원에서 우편함 설치하다가 석양이 너무 너무 아름다워서 급하게 핸드폰으로 찍은 사진인데 마치 동화 속의 집처럼 사진이 나왔다. 무보정인데 진짜 너무 예쁨 ㅠㅠ
We were setting up our mailbox in the front yard, the sky was so beautiful. I hurried to take out my phone and took this photo. I didn't edit the picture at all. Our house looks like a painting.
