미국 주택 뒷마당 텃밭에서 기르는 한국 & 미국 채소 5월 모습이다.
Vegetable Log in May
초록색 화분이 있는 곳을 앞쪽이라 할 때, 그 바로 뒤에 있는게 내 텃밭이고 끝에 있는 텃밭이 스카일러꺼다.
Front bed is mine and the one in the back is Skylar's.
씨앗 뿌려서 발아시킨 한국 상추 모습들. 씨앗 뿌린지 한 3-4주쯤 지났을 때 모습인듯.
I think this was 3-4 weeks after I spread Korean lettuce seeds in the bed.
이건 한국 백청무 씨앗을 파종시켜서 발아한 모습이다. 무는 떡잎부터 다른 채소보다 큰데 성장속도 또한 어마무시하다. 확실히 키우는 재미가 있음!
The big vegetable is Korean radish. Radishes grow big and fast. They are really fun to grow.
이건 미국 할라피뇨 고추 모종인데 드디어 고추 꽃이 피고 지는 모습이다.
This is Jalapeno. It's got pepper flowers.
미국 미니 당근 씨앗 뿌린게 자라서 새싹이 나왔다.
Mini carrots are growing as well.
한국 꽈리고추 새싹도 나옴
This is a Korean Pepper.
한국 애호박 씨앗은 여기서 성장이 더디다. 혹시 비료를 추가로 줘야하는 걸까?
I wonder if this Korean zucchini needs any fertilizer or compost. It is growing very slow almost looks like it's stopped growing at this phase.
스카일러가 오이 씨앗을 한웅큼 뿌려서 옹기종기 붙어사는 오이 새싹들에게 띄엄띄엄 간격을 줘서 다시 심어줬다.
Skylar buried lots of cucumber seeds in one spot. I gave each one enough room to grow.
오이 새싹만 옮겨줬을 뿐인데 손에서 오이 냄새나는 게 신기했다.
I only touched cucumber sprots to transplant and my hands smelled like cucumbers.
미국 딸기 꽃은 꽃은 많이 피는데 딸기 열매를 잘 맺지 못한다. 수정이 안되는건지, 영양이 부족한건지?
American strawberry has been flowering. But it doesn't make as many berries. Do I need to pollinate this?
스카일러 브로콜리는 매일 매일 크기가 커져간다.
Skylar's broccoli is getting bigger every day.
내가 제일 구분하기 어려워하는게 파슬리랑 고수다. 맨날 고수 산다고 생각하고 집어오는게 귀신같이 파슬리임;; 이 모종도 고수라고 생각하고 (심지어 진열대 이름도 재차 확인) 집어온 건데, 고수 칸에 낀 파슬리였다 -_-
I always mistake parsley for cilantro. Even this one, I made sure I grabbed one from a shelf with a Cilantro name tag. But someone must have put a parsley seedling on the shelf. When I chekced the seedling's name tag, it was parsley...
한국 상추가 빠르게 자라나고 있다. 쌈 싸먹을 날이 머지 않았어 ㅎ
Korean lettuces are growing fast. I am looking forward to eat them lol.
내 텃밭 왼쪽 초록화분에는 깻잎을 심었는데 흙이 정말 안좋은건지 씨앗이 오래된건지 아무런 소식이 없다. ㅜ
I have planted a plenty of sesame leave seeds in the green planter. Nothing has happened. The soil must be bad.
스카일러 브로콜리 안에 브로콜리가 열리기 시작했다. 사진으로는 작은 잎사귀에 둘려쌓인 것만 보이는데 그걸 열어보면 안에 분명 열매가 있음! 신기신기.
Broccoli head started forming. In this picture the head is still covered by tiny leaves. When I opened them, there was a head in there! Exciting.
