나는 큰 꽃보다 작은 꽃들을 선호한다. 꽃술 보이는 걸 안좋아하기 때문에..

드라이플라워로 만들어서 벽에 걸어보려고 스타티스를 샀다.

이 꽃은 말려도 색이 그대로 유지된다고 해서 :)

I prefer small flowers because I don't like to see stamen and pistil.

I bought this Statice to make dry flowers. 

Statice stay their own color even after drying.

요즘 내 정원 관심사는 작물에서 원예로 넘어온 것 같다.

꽃을 길러서 직접 꽃다발을 만들어보고 싶다.

내친 김에 안개꽃 씨앗을 사서 심었다.

저번에 월마트 갔을 때 피오니 구근 재고떨이판매를 하고 있어서 구매했다.

화분으로 샀던 수선화를 제외하고는, 구근식물은 처음 심어보는 거라서 기대가 됐다. 

We found a Peony bulb on clearance at Walmart. 

This is my first time planting bulb flowers besides the grown daffodils.

이것도 피오니 구근산 날 발견한 화분인데 자동으로 수분조절이 되는 신기한 화분이다.

구근 작물을 키우는 데 딱일 것 같아서 구매했다.

So I bought this self watering planter too at Walmart.

I thought it would help the bulb grow.

한국에 있을 때는 매달 샵에 가서 속눈썹 연장을 받고는 했는데, 

미국오고 나서는 아직 가보기가 망설여졌다.

그러던 중 내가 좋아하는 유투버가 셀프 속눈썹 파마 키트를 산 걸 보고 나도 시도해봤다.

웃긴 게 한국산을 가장한 중국산 키트라는 것ㅋㅋ

남편이 해줬는데 생각보다 컬이 잘 안나왔다.

I used to get my eyelashes extended in Seoul every month. I have just been hesitating to get them done here in America.

My favorite youtuber tried a self eyelash perm kit. So I bought this one which is made in China pretending Korean lol.

My husband permed my eyelashes but it didn't turn out good.

퇴근 후 봄맞이 소풍으로 건터스빌호수에 갔다. 플라밍고 돗자리(실은 식탁보)를 깔고 보스스피커 틀어놓고 저녁을 먹었다.

그 와중에 남편친구를 우연히 만나서 웃겼다.

After my husband got off work, we went to Guntersville lake for a picnic. The flamingo blanket is a table cover lol.

We listened to songs through the Bose speaker and ate dinner. My husband ran into his friend there. What a coincidence.

한국 아삭이고추 꽃망울이 맺혔다. 고추 방아다리에 열린 꽃은 따줘야 다음 열매들에게 영양분이 가서 더 많이 수확할 수 있다고 한다.

아삭이 고추는 거의 매운 맛이 없고 오이처럼 아삭하고 피망맛에 더 가깝다. 나중에 시부모님이랑 나눠먹어야지.

Korean pepper is about to bloom. This kind pepper is named A-sak-ee. "A-sak" means a noise when you bite something fresh.

I heard you should pick the first flower between the first Y shaped branches.

A-sak-ee pepper tastes so mild like bell peppers and cucumbers. I'm gonna share some with my mother/father in law.

미루고 미뤄오다 드디어 본 라라랜드.

블루레이를 빌려서 시청했는데 자막도 설정할 수 있다.

미국에 온지 이제 5개월차인데 아직 영화관에 가서 모든 걸 이해하기는 어려움이 있다.

삼성65인치 TV에 스피커까지 구비돼 있어서 홈씨어터인 우리집에서 시청하니까 완전 너무 좋다.

그나저나 라라랜드 결말이 진짜 훌륭하다. OST도 정말 대박.

Finally we watched LALALAND. We rented a bluray and you can set up the subs so easily.

It's been only 5 months since I came back to America. I'm still having troubles understanding english movies without subs at theaters.

It was so good to watch the bluray with our samsung 65 inch TV and good speaker.

By the way I loved the ending. If it was a happy ending the movie would have been just a cheesy cliche movie. Also I love their songs.

평일점심용으로 밀프렙을 시작했다! 남편이랑 나는 점심 저녁을 같이 먹는 만큼 음식 메뉴 고르는 것도 일이다.

그러던 중 남편도 밀프렙 해보고 싶다고 해서 아마존에서 도시락통을 구매했는데 이거 꽤나 괜찮다.

식기세척기, 전자레인지에 사용할 수 있어서 더욱 굿

나의 첫 밀프렙은 연어스테이크랑 소세지야채볶음이다. 넘 맛나다 :P

I started meal prepping. It's kindof hard to pick different food when we eat 2 meals together.

So we bought 10 lunch boxes for meal prep that are microwavable and dish wash safe.

My first meal prep menu is fried salmon, sausage/grilled vegies, and rice!

우리부부가 정말 좋아하는 냉동피자 Digiorno. 치즈크러스트인 피자가 미국엔 별로 없는데 마침 이걸 발견하고는 시도해봤는데 진짜 바삭하고 맛있다.

이번에 먹은 건 수프림피자인데 강추 bb

We love this frozen pizza -Digiorno-. There are not many pizzas with cheese stuffed crust here.

We tried their supreme pizza. It's so good.

블로그에서 베이킹소다로 청소하는 팁을 보고 시도해봤는데 수도꼭지랑 인덕션이 진짜 반짝반짝 깨끗하게 닦인다!

화장실 세면대에도 했는데 완전 깨끗해졌다. 친환경세제인데다가 가격도 저렴해서 자주 이용해야겠다.

I saw a cleaning tip that uses baking soda. I wiped  the faucet and stove with baking soda.

It looks so clean now! I used it for my bathroom and it worked. :) 

It's also cheap and eco-friendly.

시엄마가 더트칩에서 식물키우기 키트 샀는데 그 흙이 너무 구렸는지, 그 흙을 뚫고 발아한 건 오직 바질 한종류 뿐이었다.

분갈이 해줬다. 이제 더 쑥쑥 크기를.

My mother in law gave me growing kits before. I guess their soil was so bad that only the basil germinated.

I transplanted the basil.

그 때 받은 식물키우기세트에 있던 파슬리. 한참이 지나도 발아가 안되길래 씨앗이 안 좋은 건가? 하고 홧김에; 

다른 흙에다가 씨앗을 투하했더니 많이 자란다.역시 흙이 문제였어. (근데 파슬리가 맞나)

There was parsley in the growing kits. None of them germinated in the soil and I thought maybe it was because of the seeds.

I just spread the seeds into a different pot and suddenly they all germinated :D *Maybe they are not parsley...

우리가 애용하는 냉동 스파게티 식품. 남편은 크림스파게티 싫어해서 나만 먹어봤는데 맛은 나쁘지 않았지만 그렇다고 엄청 맛있지도 않았다.

차라리 새우스파게티나 소고기스파게티가 훨씬 맛있다.

We often buy this frozen spaghetti. My husband doesn't like alfredo. So only I tried this. It was just okay.

I would rather get their beef/shrimp spaghetti next time though.

마지막으로 남아있던 냉동 삼겹살 팩을 야무지게 구어다가 뒷마당 정원에서 바로 상추 따서 쌈싸먹었다.

이 날 어찌나 맛있게 고기가 구어졌던지 정말 꿀맛이었다. 한인마트에서 삼겹살 더 많이 사둘걸 아쉬워 ㅠㅠ

This is the last pack of pork belly from H mart. He grilled this one soooo well.

I picked some lettuce from my garden and wrapped the pork belly with it.

김치가 많이 시어져서 설탕, 물엿, 고추장, 간장 넣고 만든 김치볶음밥. 

김치 볶았더니 집안에 김치냄새가 진동을...ㅎ

다행이도 남편은 김치냄새를 싫어하지 않는다. 그

래도 먹고난 후에는 집안에 냄새가 베지 않도록 열심히 환기하기.

My Kimchi is so fermented now and smells stronger.

I added some sugar, sweet pepper sauce, and soy sauce to make fried kimchi rice.

It caused our house smell like kimchi '-';

fortunately my husband doesn't hate kimchi. But I had to let air in and out after making this.

얼마 전 카네이션 씨앗 구해다가 심었다. 

나중에 예쁘게 크면 꽃다발 만들어야지. (이러다 플로리스트 될 기세 ㅎ)

그 사이 새가 내 화분에 장난쳐놨다. 화분 중간에 부리박고 콕콕 찧었나봄.

I got some carnation seeds on amazon. So I can arrange flowers later (Seems like I wanna become a florist now lol)

Meanwhile a bird messed with my pots by sticking their beak into the soil -_-

어제 메모리얼데이였는데 시부모님이 초대해주셔서 저녁으로 립을 먹었다. 완전 부드럽고 너무 맛있었다!

미국 부모님이 계셔서 이렇게 미국 문화를 배울 수 있는 게 정말 좋다. :)

It was memorial yesterday and his parents invited us to dinner.

The ribs were sooo good and tender :)

I'm glad that I can learn american culture from his parents ^^
