뉴욕 모마 미술관 관람기

우리가 뉴욕에 도착한 첫 날에는 비가 많이 와서 실내 미술관을 가기에 딱 좋은 날이었다.

르네상스호텔에서 가까워서 걸어서 도착한 모마.

Since the first day was a rainy day. It was perfect for a museum.

We walked to MOMA from the hotel.

모마는 보통 성인 한명당 25불 입장료를 지불해야 하는데,

 금요일 4시부터 8시까지 무료관람이다. 

You usually pay 25$ per person for tickets.

Friday 4pm~8pm is for free.

데스크에 가면 무료 티켓을 막 나눠주신다.

무료관람이어도 티켓을 소지해야 입장할 수 있다.

They spread free tickets at the desk.

Even though it was a free friday night, you had to have this ticket to go inside.

금요일 무료관람이라 그런지 정말 많은 사람들이 있었다.

특히 헤드셋으로 작품설명을 들을 수 있는데, 그러려면 저 긴 줄을 서야 했어서 그냥 관람하기로 했다.

다음 뉴욕여행에는 꼭 오디오 설명을 듣고 싶다.

They were so many people in the museum.

They offer you headsets that explain paintings.

There was such a long line for that. So we didn't wait.

I hope to listen to the explanations on our next visit.

층별로 시대별 작품들이 전시되어 있다.

많은 사람들이 작품 앞에 서서 오랜 시간동안 감상하고 느낀점을 나누는 모습이 인상적이었다.

The display paintings with different themes each floor.

It was impressive that people looked at the paintings for a long time and discussed how they felt.

모마 미술관의 거의 시그니처급인 그림.

This was the main picture of the exhibition.

Evening Honfleurs anagoria, 1886

이 화법이 굉장히 독특해서 좋았다. 점묘화인 것 같다.

I really liked this picture. The painting technique is pointillism.

조르주 피에르 쇠라는 그랑트 자트 섬의 일요일 오후라는 작품으로도 매우 유명하다.

This painter is famous for this picture "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte" too.

모네는 내가 가장 좋아하는 화가인데 그의 작품도 모마에 있었다.

My favorite painter Monet. His paintings were at MOMA ><

반 고흐의 작품 원본을 내 눈앞에서 봤다는 게 믿기지 않는다.

사실 이 사진을 찍기까지 긴 기다림이 있었다.

I can't believe that I saw Van Gogh's original painting in person.

Actually I had to wait for this picture.

고흐의 작품을 보기 위해 몰려있는 사람들.

중앙에서 찍으려면 한참은 기다려야 한다.

모든 사람들이 저 그림과 셀카를 찍고 싶어 하기 때문에...

So many people wanted to take pictures of his painting.

모마 미술관에서는 플래시만 터뜨리지 않으면 모든 작품들 사진을 찍을 수 있어서 너무 좋았다.

You are allowed to take pictures of the paintings at MOMA unless you use flash.

모마 기념품샵은 맨 꼭대기 층에 있다.

여기 기념품샵에는 귀여운 물건이 많은데, 저 볼펜은 made in korea였다.ㅋㅋ

The gift shop was on the top floor.

They had cute items and the pen was made in Korea.

나는 여행지마다 자석을 수집하는데, 이 기념품 가게에서 고흐의 별이 빛나는 밤 그림 자석을 구매했다. 

여행이 끝나고 돌아와 냉장고에 자석을 붙였는데 내가 산 자석 중에 가장 예쁘다.

I collect magnets as souvenirs. I bought a magnet of The starry night. 

I put it on my refrigerator after trip. That is my favorite now.

미술에 해박한 지식이 없어도 워낙 유명한 작품들이 많아서

둘러보기 좋은 뉴욕 현대 미술관 모마.

우리 부부 모두 좋아했던 관람이었다.

Even if you are not an expert in Art

The paintings are so popular that you probably know of them.

We had a good time at this art museum.

Open seven days a week
Open until 8:00 p.m. on Fridays
Member Early Hours begin at 9:30 a.m.
