3N4D New York The Halal Guys, Times Square, Patsys's Pizzeria 

뉴욕여행 1일차 먹부림 

할랄가이즈, 타임스퀘어 방문

Patsys's Pizzeria

폭우를 뚫고 찾아간 Patsy's pizzeria.

호텔로부터 가깝다면 가깝고 멀다면 먼 위치였다.

We walked through heavy rain to Patsy's Pizzeria.

We sometimes got lost so it felt far away from the hotel.

애피타이저로 빵 2개가 나온다.

올리브 오일이 담긴 병을 테이블에 턱 그냥 내려놓고는 별다른 설명없이 그냥 가버린다.

심지어 올리브 오일을 부을 소스컵도 주지 않았다.

This bread is an appetizer.

They brought us a bottle of olive oil, and just put it on the table without any explanation.

They didn't give us a bowl for the oil -_-;

I had to pour the oil on the plate.

나는 까르보나라를 주문했고, 남편은 미트볼 샌드위치를 시켰다.

음식을 가져다 주시는 분이 우리 앞에 차례로 놓아주지도 않고,

그냥 테이블 가장자리에 턱 하고 놓고 가버리더라.

I ordered Carbonara and my husband ordered Meatball sandwich.

 They just put the plates on the edge of the table and left.

완두콩과 버섯이 엄청 많았지만, 나는 야채를 좋아하니까 별다른 불만은 없었다.

다만 "맛집"이라곤 부를 수 없다는 것.

그냥 집에서 만들어 먹을 수 있는 그런 까르보나라 맛이다.

There were so many beans and mushrooms but I didn't mind. 

The taste was not bad. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant though.

It was nothing special.

남편이 주문한 미트볼 샌드위치인데 남편은 별로 안좋아했다.

맛이 없을 수가 없는 조합인데도 그냥 그랬나보다.

He didn't like the sandwich.

It can't be not good though hm.

한참을 기다려도 계산지를 가져다 주지도 않았고,

서버 태도가 내가 가본 레스토랑 중에서 가장 최악이었다.

The server didn't bring us the check for a long long time.

His attitude was the worst.

다시는 가고 싶지 않은 팻시피제리아.

괜히 굵은 빗줄기 뚫어가며 간 보람이 전혀 없었다.

뉴욕에서 처음 방문한 레스토랑이었는데 실망만 한가득이었다.

I won't ever visit Patsy's pizzeria.

It was not worth going there in the rain.

We were so disappointed by the first restaurant in New York.

별점은 ☆☆☆☆☆ 최악 0점

모마 미술관 관람 후 뉴욕 거리를 배회하고 있었다.

그러다 남편이 할랄보이즈라는 포장마차를 발견하고는

"여기가 너가 찾은 곳 아냐? 그런데 왜 이렇게 사람이 없어?" 라고 말했다 -_-.

할랄 보이즈 아니고 할랄 가이즈거든. 

We were strolling after MOMA.

He found this food cart named Halal BOYS.

He was wondering why there was no people lol.

Wrong!!!

Not boys. They are "GUYS" you know? -_-a

한 두 블럭 더 걷다보니 긴 줄이 서있던 할랄 가이즈를 발견했다.

안그래도 모마 근처 할랄가이즈가 제일 맛있다는 말에 꼭 와보고 싶었는데 럭키!!!

We walked a few more blocks and found "THE HALAL GUYS" with such a long line.

I heard the halal guys at MOMA was the best one of them.

우리는 콤보를 주문했는데,

우리 뒤에 계신 한국분들이 "어머 우리도 콤보로 시킬걸 그랬다!!!"라는데 괜히 뿌듯 *_*

치킨이랑 소고기, 저 주황색은 밥이다. 샐러드랑 빵까지 완전 푸짐한 접시가 단돈 7달러!

We ordered this Combo.

Korean people behind us regretted not getting a combo like ours.

The bowl had chicken, beef, salad, bread and orange rice.

It's only 7 dollars!

비가 쏟아진 직후여서 그런지 비둘기가 전혀 없어서 쾌적하게 길거리에서 냠냠.

소스는 화이트소스랑 바베큐 소스인데 남편은 랜치소스 좋아하면서 저 화이트 소스는 엄청 싫어했다.

There were no pigeons at the time. ( I hate them.. )

The sauces are white sauce and barbecue sauce.

Even though my husband likes ranch sauce he disliked the white sauce. hmm.

너무 맛있어서 그 다음날 또 할랄가이즈 갔는데 하필이면 음식을 만드는 중이었다.

We went there next day again XD

They were preparing food.

그 다음 일정이 촉박해서 차마 더이상 기다리지 못했음.

그러나 그날 저녁에 또 다시 와서 포장해서 호텔에서 먹었다...ㅋㅋㅋ.ㅋ

We couldn't wait longer because of our next plan.

We came back here at night, got to-go and ate it in our hotel room.

이게 호텔로 포장해가서 먹은 Gyro&Chicken combo.

핫소스는 진짜 완전 짱 맵다. 20% 핫소스랑 80% 화이트소스랑 비벼 먹으면 꿀맛인데 배 아프다.

나는 뉴욕여행 기간 동안 총 2번 할랄가이즈를 먹었고,

남편은 총 3번 먹었다. 완전 광팬 되신 듯 ㅎ

This is what i got. Gyro & Chicken Combo.

Their Hot sauce is super hot.

I ate Halal guys' food twice and he did 3 times on our trip.

He became their fan. lol

Times Square

 할랄가이즈를 먹고 천천히 산책하듯 걷다보면 발견하는 타임스퀘어.

We found Times square after eating at the Halal guys.

그 유명한 뉴욕 타임스퀘어 계단 위에는 정말 많은 사람들이 사진을 찍고 있었다.

There were so many tourists on the famous stairs.

남편은 저 굴뚝에서 나는 연기가 똥 태울 때 나오는 가스라는데 사실인지는 모르겠다. ㅎ(역시 아니었음.ㅋ)

스팀난방이라고 뉴욕 건물들은 단체 난방을 한다고 한다. 

그 증기가 저렇게 배출된다고 하는데, 가까이 가면 역한 냄새가 나긴 한다.

I'm not sure if the gas from the pillar is gas of burning poo. (That's what he said.) *Mansplained*

It does stink.

현란한 색의 간판들과 많은 관광객들이 모여들어 내가 뉴욕에 왔다는 걸 실감나게 해준다.

The big screens and signs with many tourists make you realize you are in New York.

원래 뉴욕 타임스퀘어는 라이언킹 보는 둘째날에 오려고 했었는데, 

우리가 무지 타임스퀘어점에 가고 싶어서 첫째날에 가게 되었다.

We were going to come here on the second day.

We wanted to shop at Muji (branch of Times square).

빨간 식탁과 의자들이 타임스퀘어랑 잘 어울린다.

I liked the red color chairs and tables.

they looked good with the place.

저 앞에는 공연을 하고 있었는데,

덤블링 하는 거였나 보더라.

재치있게 관객들의 주의를 끄는데 그 주의만 10분 넘게 끌길래 포기했다.ㅋㅋ

Some guys were performing like.. tumbling?

They were just drawing attention for ten minutes. We gave up on watching XD

우리 부부는 여기서 시부모님께 영상통화를 드렸다.

주변이 너무 시끄러워 통화소리가 전혀 안들렸지만,

뉴욕명소에서 영상통화 한 건 정말 잘 한 것 같다 *_*

We facetimed with his parents here.

We couldn't here what they said over the phone at all,

I am glad we showed them.

나도 빨간 의자에 앉아서 사진 찰칵 'ㅅ'

저 가죽 구두는 비에 젖여서 축축한 상태였다.

I tried sitting on the chair too.

My leather shoes were so wet.

MOMA 미술관에서 산 기념품이 든 쇼핑백 들고 타임스퀘어에서 사진 찰칵.

타임스퀘어를 지나 무인양품 Muji에 갔는데, 

무지 타임스퀘어점은 타임스퀘어에 있지 않다. -_-

솔직히 이름을 무지 뉴욕타임즈점으로 바꿔야 한다.

I took this picture with souvenirs bought at MOMA at Times Square.

The Muji wasn't at Times Square even though they named it "Muji Times square".

They should have named it "Muji New York Times".

우리가 무지에 도착했을 때는 거의 9시가 다 되어서 문을 닫기 직전이었지만,

흔쾌히 들여보내주셔서 나는 운동화를 사고 남편은 연두색 반팔 셔츠를 샀다 :D

Muji was about to close. Fortunately they let us in.

I bought sneakers and he got a green shirt.

이렇게 호텔로 돌아와 첫째날 일정은 끝이 났다.

This was our first day of the trip.
