New York Leather shop Will, 

Prince Street Pizza, Little Cupcake Bakeshop Nolita

┃ 뉴욕 3일차 먹부림 레드벨벳컵케익, 프린스스트릿피자, 가죽가방 구입

3일차 여행은 먹방찍는 것부터 시작했다.

남편이 뉴욕에 가면 꼭 제일 맛있는 피자집에 가야한다면서 열심히 옐프링한 결과 알아낸 곳은?

We started the third day by having lunch.

My husband insisted that we go to a real pizza place in New York.

프린스 스트릿 피자.

옐프에는 1,022개의 리뷰가 4.5의 평점을 가지고 있는 곳이다.

He had already found this pizza place on Yelp which has 1,022 reviews and 4.5 ratings.

The name is Price St. Pizza.

우리는 11시에 도착했는데 오픈시간이 11시 30분이었다.

그래서 적당히 시간이 떼울 곳이 필요했는데..

We arrived there at 11 AM.

But the open time was 11:30.

We needed to find a way to pass the time.

프린스 스트릿 피자 맞은 편에 마침 베이커리 카페가 있었다.

이름은 Little cupcake bakeryshop Nolita.

There was a bakery cafe across from Prince street pizza.

That was Little Cupcake Bakery shop Nolita.

딱히 기대를 한 거나 계획을 짜서 시도해본 곳은 아니었다.

말그대로 그냥 시간떼우기용으로 들어간 것.

We didn't look forward to their cupcakes or anything.

We literally went there to waste some time.

어차피 피자먹어야하니까 과하게는 먹지 못하고 작은 컵케익 하나와 커피를 시키기로 했다.

Southern red velvet 컵케익 이름이 눈을 사로잡았다.

미국 남부에서 온 사람들이니까 남부식 레드벨벳 컵케익은 어떤지 먹어보겠다라는 마음 *_*

We didn't want to eat a lot here so we just ordered a coffee and a small cupcake.

The red velvet cupcakes named { Southern red velvet" } caught my eye.

As Southerners, we wanted to try it.

아이스 아메리카노가 3달러면 진짜 싸다고 생각했다.

I thought 3 dollars was pretty cheap for an iced americano.

내부에 손님이 그런대로 많아서 적당히 자리를 잡고 앉았다.

There were a few people in the cafe and we sat at a table.

무지에서 산 모자와 강렬한 색깔의 레드벨벳 컵케익 그리고 내가 좋아하는 아메리카노까지

완벽한 조화다 :D

I bought the pretty hat at MUJI.

The coffee, cupcake and my hat looked so good together.

이때 갑자기 남편이 "나 캣츠 로터리 당첨됐어." 라길래 깜놀.

남편이 티켓 살지 말지 고민하길래 뭘 고민하냐고 당장 사라고 시켰다;

All of a sudden Skylar told me that he won the lottery for CATS.

He hesitated whether to buy the tickets or not. I insisted!

그리하여 월드트레이드센터/배터리파크/자유의 여신상/브루클린브릿지를 구경하려던 

우리의 3일차 일정은 급하게 변경되었다.

Our plans for the third day had to be changed.

We planned to go to World trade center, battery park, Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn bridge.

다시 컵케익 리뷰로 돌아와서 

과연 뉴욕 레드벨벳 컵케익의 맛은?

Back to the point,

What did the cupcake taste like?

컵케익에 얹혀진 아이싱이 제대로다! 엄청 달지도 않고 적당한 단맛에 포슬포슬한 컵케익

대박 만족!!!! 다음 뉴욕여행에도 굳이 여기까지 찾아와서 먹을 맛 인정합니다.

Wow. The icing was the best I had ever had! It wasn't too sweet.

The cake texture was fluffy and soft !

I'd say even if I went to here to try their cupcakes on purpose, it would be worth it.

컵케익과 아메리카노를 헤치우고도 여전히 10분가량 남았다.

남편이 그럼 피자집 옆에 있는 가죽 가게 한번 들어가볼래?해서 가게된 Will Leather goods.

We still had 10 minutes till the opening time.

He suggested we check out the leather goods shop next to the pizza place.

남편이 가죽 벨트를 가지고 싶어해서 들어가게 됐는데 가죽의 질이나 색깔들이 너무나 고급스러웠다.

남편은 이렇게 비싼(?) 벨트는 살 수 없다고 했다.

He wanted a leather belt and their leathers looked so decent.

After looking at the belts, he said he can't get one this expensive. ><;

그러다 내 레이더망에 포착된 건 가죽핸드백들-_-;

안그래도 핸드백 사고 싶었는데 마침 걸려있는 가죽클러치들 색깔이 너무 너무 예뻤다!

And then I saw the leather purses-_-;

I had wanted a new purse and their colors were so great.

남편이 뉴욕여행 기념품으로 하나 장만하라고 흔쾌히(?) 자비를 베풀어주었다. ㅋ

남편도 이 카키색 핸드백이 무지 마음에 든 모양이었다.

살까 말까 5초 고민했을까? ㅋ지름신 강림...

My husband told me to get one as a souvenir. How generous.

He seemed to like the purse too.

Well. I hesitated.... for five secs? lol

뉴욕 윌 레더샵에는 가죽제품들이 다양하게 있었다.

열쇠고리, 지갑, 가방, 모자, 벨트 등등!

하나하나 멋스럽고 좋은 가죽냄새가 샵 안에서 진동했다.

In the shop there were a lot of leather items such as key chains, wallets, hats, and belts. etc.

Each of them was beautiful.

The entire shop was full of a good leather smell.

구매를 결정하자 직원분이 가죽가방에 이름을 새길 수도 있다면서 원하는 글자색깔과 내용을 말해달라고 했다.

나는 추천해줄 색상있냐고 물어봤는데,

카키색과 골드색은 찰떡궁합이라고 하셔서 그럼 "금색으로 제 이름을 새겨주세요!!!" 라고 했다.

10분정도 소요된다길래 다시 피자집으로 고고.

The clerk asked me if I wanna imprint something on the purse.

I asked for her recommendation, she said the gold looks great with khaki.

So I wanted to get it with my name imprinted in gold.

It took ten minutes to be done. So we left for the pizza place.

오픈시간에 딱 맞추어 들어간 프린스 스트릿 피자 가게 내부.

벌써 많은 사람들이 북적인다.

We got there right in time.

There were already some people.

남편은 페퍼로니피자 광팬이라 페퍼로니피자 2조각에 내꺼 1조각 총 3조각을 주문했다.

여긴 다양한 피자 종류는 없지만 그만큼 전문적으로 피자를 만드는 곳이다.

My husband loves pepperoni pizza.

He ordered two slices and I ordered one slice of pepperoni pizza.

There were only a few kinds. Because it was a specialty pizza place known for a few kinds.

좋은 재료를 사용한다는 간판.

The sign says they use the finest ingredients.

여기 음식점은 내부가 좁아 테이블이 없고 서서 먹는 구조였다.

There are no tables inside, so you eat standing.

종업원분이 나 사진찍으라고 기다려주셨다^^;

저렇게 진짜 화덕에서 굽는 레알 미국피자 맛을 느낄 수 있는 곳!

The cashier moved out of the way for me to take a picture.

They cook pizza in this traditional oven, so you can taste real american pizza here.

남편은 두조각을 흡입하고 나는 한조각 먹는데도 레드벨벳 컵케익을 먹어서인지 배가 점점 불러왔다.

He gobbled up the two slices and I was not very hungry after eating the cupcake.

남편 말로는 자기가 먹어본 피자 중에 제일 맛있었다고 강추한 곳이다.

나는 워낙 피자에 관심없는 1인인지라 나한테는 굉장히 짠맛만 느껴진 곳.

He really loved their pizza saying that was the best pizza -_-;

To me it was very salty and couldn't figure out what was so special.

본인이 미국입맛이라면 인생맛집이 될 수 있는 프린스 스트릿 피자였다.

If you have the same taste as Americans, this could be the best place.

(호불호 갈림 주의)

다시 가죽샵으로 돌아와,

직원분이 자기가 글자를 새겨봤는데 금색을 입히면 오히려 보기 안좋을 거 같다는 말씀을 하셨다.

After lunch we came back to the leather shop.

The clerk told me that my name wouldn't look clear with the gold imprint.

급히 전략을 바꿔 그냥 이름만 찐하게 새기기로 했다!

So I just asked her to imprint my name without it!

내 이름과 찰떡궁합인 색상의 가죽이라니 *_*

My name matches the purse :)

이 클러치는 베지터블 가죽이라고 천연오일로 염색하여 인체에 무해한 친환경 가죽이라고 한다.

시간이 오래 지나도 멋스러워 보이는 장점이 있다!

The leather is vegetable tanned leather and it was dyed with natural oils so it's not harmful at all.

The more time goes by, the better it will look.

뉴욕 여행에서 나만의 특별한 소장품을 발견한 듯하여 엄청 행복했다.

I was so happy finding an unexpected unique treasure.

캣츠 뮤지컬까지 시간이 1시간 반정도 남아 뭔가를 구경하기에는 촉박한 시간이었다.

One World trade center에 일단 가보기로 결정했다.

We had one and a half hours till the musical Cats.

We just stopped by One world trade center.

여기도 남편이 오고 싶어하던 곳인데 급하게 뮤지컬 캣츠가 당첨된 이상

꼭대기 전망대에 가는 건 무리였다 T_T

나야 가고 싶었는데 시간에 쫓겨 구경하는게 싫다며 남편은 거절했다. ㅋ

He wanted to go to one world observatory.

but he didn't want to be rushed at the observatory.

내부까지 차마 들어가보지는 못하고 바로 옆 독특한 쇼핑센터 Oculus가 있었다.

We didn't have enough time to go and see in the building.

We went to Oculus next to the building instead.

내부로 들어가보면 흡사 공룡뼈로 장식된 아이스링크장을 보는 듯 했다.

This cool shopping mall looked like an ice rink inside dinosaur bones.

쇼핑몰을 구경하지는 못하고 지하철로 연결되는 통로가 바로 있어서

뮤지컬 캣츠를 보러 떠났다 :D

We didn't look around the mall long and the mall was connected to the subway.

So we left from there for Cats.
