6월에 심었던 여름 식물 목화가 드디어 꽃을 피기 시작했다.

가드닝이란게 어찌보면 지루하고 큰 변화가 없이 흘러가는 것 같아도, 

묵묵히 물 주고 보살펴주고 기다리다 보면 이렇게 꽃을 보게 되는 때가 와서 더 감격적인 것 같다.

Finally my cottons started to bloom. 

They sprouted in June.

Sometimes gardening is boring and you might not be able to tell any differences each day.

But you keep watering your plants and taking care of them,

and finally you see them bloom and it's so touching.

씨앗을 심은지 3개월 차에 드디어 꽃이 피어나기 시작했다.

가을이 왔나 날씨도 선선해지나 싶더니, 목화도 꽃을 피어주며 계절의 변화를 알린다.

It has been three months since I planted the seeds.

The fall is around the corner and I could definitely tell that by these cottons.

아직 꽃이 피어가는 단계이지만

처음 키워본 목화에 또 처음 보는 목화 꽃이기에 얼른 기록하고 싶었다.

They just have bloomed but I was so excited to see my first cottons blooming and hurried to post.

나는 목화가 총 4그루있는데 두 목화 나무에서 꽃이 피기 시작했고,

이건 분홍빛이 더 진하다.

어쩌면 이 목화꽃도 만개하면 다른 목화처럼 하얘질 것 같기도 하다.

I have four cotton trees and two of them are blooming.

This one has more pink color.

Maybe when it actually blooms, the pink would go away.

목화 잎 중에 이런 파리지옥같은 이파리가 생겼길래

엄청 이상하게도 생겼네 생각했는데, 이게 목화꽃이 피는 이파리인가보더라.

A few days ago when I watered my cottons, I saw this leaf that looks like a venus flytrap.

I thought that it looked quiet weird but I realized that's where cotton flower blooms.

이렇게 보면 그 파리지옥 잎에서 꽃이 피는 걸 알 수 있다.

As you can see, cotton flower blooms from the leaf!

집에서 처음 키워보는 목화인데, 

처음 새싹일 때는 키가 무럭무럭 자라더니 막상 크고나면 그렇게 커지지도 않는다. 

어쩌면 내 화분 흙이 영양가가 없어서 인지도.

그럼에도 불구하고 꽃까지 보여줘서 너무 행복하다.

이제 곧 있으면 목화솜도 볼 수 있겠지.

These are my first cottons.

They grew so fast when they just sprouted but when it's grown up enough, they don't get any taller.

Maybe it's because my soil was not very good.

But they eventually bloomed and I'm so happy to see them :)

I'm looking forward to seeing it becoming cotton now.

* 실제로 검색해보니, 목화꽃은 원래 하얀색이고 시들면서 분홍색으로 바뀌는 거라고 한다.

I Looked up cotton flowers.

It says cotton flowers are white at first and turn pink.

가드닝하다보면 별에별 곤충을 다 만나게 되는데,

오늘 본 건 진짜 엄청 큰 대왕 메뚜기!!

내 깻잎 조금 먹고 똥 싸고 떠났다 ㅇㅅㅇ

Since I started to gardening, I have seen many insects.

Today I saw this giant grasshopper!

It ate a little of my perilla leaf and pooped '-'.
